DailyStandup review
A strong fit for teams that want standups connected to daily work activity.

DailyStandup is an asynchronous standup tool for distributed and development teams. It supports manual check-ins covering yesterday, today, and blockers, while AI can draft updates from connected work activity. Teams can also schedule automatic submissions, review team and organization-level summaries, and track recurring patterns over time. Its focus is especially relevant for teams working across development tools and communication channels rather than teams seeking only a basic check-in form.
The free plan includes daily AI summaries, basic standup prompts, and seven-day history. According to the vendor’s pricing page, Pro costs $8 per user per month with annual billing and adds the AI Activity Log, scheduled auto-submission, full AI summaries, blocker detection, GitHub, Linear, and Slack integrations, pattern tracking, and weekly digests. Enterprise adds SAML / SSO, custom onboarding, dedicated support, advanced security and compliance, unlimited history, and admin API access. This gives smaller teams a low-commitment entry point, while organizations needing administration and governance have a higher tier to consider.
DailyStandup’s ecosystem fit is a central part of its value. It connects with Slack, GitHub, Linear, Jira, and Figma, and also provides REST API and MCP connectivity for activity capture. Jira and Figma are marked as coming soon, so teams depending on those connections should account for that status. The product suits teams that want standups informed by work activity, summaries, and blocker patterns. Teams that prefer lightweight manual updates or do not need integrations may find the paid tier harder to justify.
