CoverArt AI is a web-based AI album cover generator for independent musicians, producers, and labels. It creates square artwork for albums and singles from release details such as song title, artist name, mood, concept, genre, and visual direction. Users can choose from more than 50 curated style presets, upload logos or reference images, and generate artwork at 2K resolution. The product is designed for music releases distributed through services such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, DistroKid, and Bandcamp.
Pricing follows a freemium model with five monthly plans. The Free plan costs $0 and includes Private Cover, Custom Cover Style, email support, and early access to new styles. Hobbyist costs $6.99 per month, Indie costs $19.99 per month, Studio costs $39.99 per month, and Records costs $99.99 per month; the published highlights for these plans list the same four features. Subscriptions are credit-based, so the plan structure is most relevant to artists who expect recurring cover-generation needs. Commercial licensing for generated artwork adds practical value for released music and label projects.
CoverArt AI’s strongest fit is for creators who want guided AI artwork rather than a general-purpose design workspace. Song title and artist name integration, custom style requests on qualifying plans, reference-image uploads, and 2048×2048 output support a focused release-cover workflow. JPG export keeps the output straightforward, while the platform integrations align with common music distribution destinations. Artists who need a web-based generator with commercial-use coverage should consider it; those requiring desktop software or a different export format should choose an alternative.
