Cover Me is a Chrome extension with a companion web dashboard for job seekers who want tailored cover letters and resume edits from job postings. It extracts role requirements and ATS keywords, uses a resume to generate application materials, and supports inline editing before text is copied or exported. The product is especially suited to applicants working across supported job boards and to open-source users who want BYOK support for Claude or OpenAI API keys.

Its strongest feature is the application-tailoring workflow. Cover Me provides an ATS match score and keyword-gap analysis, then rewrites resume bullets and drafts a cover letter around the selected role. Users can review the result in the editor, export it as a PDF, and keep application history locally or through synced history on Pro. For pages outside its integrations, manual job-description paste provides a fallback, although the experience is narrower than a general-purpose writing workspace.

The Free plan costs $0 forever and includes 10 AI generations per day for cover letters and resumes, BYOK with unlimited generation using the user's API key, editing, PDF export, and local cover letter history. Pro adds unlimited cover letters and resume tailoring, editing and PDF export, cross-device history sync, and priority access to new features. Choose Cover Me if ATS-focused tailoring, browser access, job-board integrations, or personal API-key support are central to your workflow. Applicants seeking broader export options or a tool without a browser-and-dashboard workflow should consider alternatives.
