Cosmic Clarity is Seti Astro’s desktop image-processing software for astrophotography. It targets photographers who need denoising, sharpening, satellite-trail removal, super resolution and star removal around a PixInsight workflow. The standalone package runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, accepts FITS, TIFF, XISF and PNG files, and processes them through local input and output folders. A PixInsight script interface can return processed images to PixInsight, making the tool most relevant to solo users and small teams already working in that environment.

The published offering is free and open source, with no paid tier to compare. Its feature set covers AI-based denoising in full-image or luminance modes, stellar and non-stellar sharpening, super-resolution processing, satellite-trail removal and the Dark Star star-removal tool. GPU acceleration is supported, including non-CUDA Windows support. These capabilities give astrophotographers several enhancement stages in one utility, while the local workflow keeps files on the desktop rather than moving them through a hosted service.

Cosmic Clarity’s ecosystem fit is intentionally narrow: PixInsight scripts are the named integration, and the standalone application works through folders instead of a wider plugin or cloud network. Seti Astro says the functionality is now bundled into Seti Astro Suite Pro, while the original standalone page remains available; the standalone GitHub repository was archived on September 16, 2026. Email and documentation are the listed support channels. Pick Cosmic Clarity if you want free, local processing and already use PixInsight; choose another option if you need broader integrations, a hosted workflow or an actively maintained standalone repository.
