Cornerstones Maestro is a web-based curriculum platform for primary schools and school leaders. It brings planning, curriculum customisation, lesson resources, assessment, progress tracking and reporting into one system. Schools can work with sequenced, thematic or bespoke curriculum content, adapt projects, upload resources and link lessons. The platform covers ages 3 to 11 through EYFS and primary curriculum frameworks, and supports both individual schools and multi-academy trusts. Its strongest fit is for elementary schools that want a shared view of curriculum intent, coverage, assessment and progression.
The published plans show two paid routes. Full Curriculum costs £12 per pupil per year, billed annually, and includes the EYFS to Year 6 curriculum, integrated assessment, a dedicated curriculum adviser and platform support. Single Subject costs £250 per annual licence and includes a single-subject curriculum, access to Maestro, integrated assessment and a dedicated curriculum adviser; the vendor labels this an introductory offer for the first subject. The full-curriculum option is the clearer fit for schools managing progression across subjects, while the single-subject licence suits a narrower curriculum requirement.
Maestro’s depth is in curriculum management rather than broad software connectivity. Features include an editable timetable and weekly planner, coverage and progression tracking, quizzes, tests, termly assessments, class and pupil analysis, school and trust dashboards, customisable pupil and governor reports, and resource linking. Management information system integrations support its place within school administration workflows. Access is web-only, so schools seeking wider platform coverage or a broader integration ecosystem may prefer another option. Choose Maestro for structured primary curriculum planning with built-in assessment and reporting; look elsewhere if secondary provision, native multi-platform access or wider integrations are central requirements.
