Concord Fax API connects business applications to inbound and outbound fax workflows through Concord’s cloud fax platform. It is designed for businesses, healthcare organizations, and other regulated enterprises that need applications to send documents, receive faxes, track delivery, and retrieve inbound transmissions. The service also includes account management functions and supports OAuth 2.0 authentication.

Pricing is organized through the FaxPro 100, FaxPro 300, and FaxPro 1000 plans. FaxPro 100 includes 50 inbound and 50 outbound pages, plus one toll-free line. FaxPro 300 includes 150 inbound and 150 outbound pages, also with one toll-free line. FaxPro 1000 provides 1,000 combined inbound or outbound pages and includes a DID; its toll-free number carries a surcharge. Additional pages are charged per page across the plans. Concord also describes API access as pay-as-you-go, while its public pricing page presents the FaxPro plans.

The main technical fit is its SOAP web-service endpoint and WSDL documentation, supported by sample code and HTTPS requirements. Developers can submit faxes to one or more recipients, receive inbound faxes into applications, query delivery status, and receive HTTP push notifications for completed jobs and inbound delivery. That combination suits established integrations that depend on SOAP and need two-way faxing with event-driven updates. Teams building around newer API protocols, or those that do not need fax reception and delivery tracking, may find the SOAP-centered approach less suitable.

Concord Fax API pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Supports both inbound and outbound fax workflows
    • Real-time status queries and HTTP push notifications
    • SOAP, WSDL, HTTPS, and OAuth 2.0 support
  • Where it doesn't
    • SOAP focus may not suit teams seeking modern API protocols
    • Additional pages are charged per page
    • Toll-free numbers carry a surcharge on FaxPro 1000
