cofaso is electrical CAD/CAE software for machine builders, control-panel manufacturers, industrial facilities, and automation teams. Its scope covers electrical schematic creation, automatic 3-line schematic generation, control-panel and cabinet layouts, wiring information, PLC cross-references, and manufacturing documentation. The product is positioned for small, medium, and large projects, with single and server licensing options. Windows workstations and Windows Server are supported, while the vendor also describes public and private cloud services.

The published packages include Mini Lite for very small and basic projects and Mini for small and uncomplex projects, with general manufacturing reports included in the latter. The official packages page lists monthly, yearly, 3-year, and perpetual options, alongside single and server licenses. Pricing is handled through sales rather than displayed as fixed amounts. A 30-day trial provides a way to evaluate the software before purchase, although the trial excludes parts and macro libraries. Buyers should therefore assess library requirements early, particularly if reusable components are central to their workflow.

cofaso’s strongest fit is a documentation-heavy electrical design process that needs more than schematic capture. Automatic wiring, cable, terminal, and device reports support production documentation, while bills of materials, part lists, purchase-order lists, and PLC connection plans extend the workflow toward manufacturing. Automatic checks flag missing connections, duplicate wire numbers, and overloads. Standards libraries and exchange formats support work across IEC, UL, JIC, GOST, and Chinese GB conventions, with EPLAN, DWG, DXF, XML, and Excel interoperability. Choose cofaso when panel design, reporting, standards coverage, and automated checks matter together; a smaller project may be better matched to the Mini Lite scope.
