ClipConverter is a browser-based service for turning audio or video URLs into downloadable files. It is suited to solo users and small teams with a focused conversion task, such as saving a clip in a particular format or trimming it to a segment. The service names YouTube, Vimeo, and Facebook Video as supported sources, and lists MP3, M4A, AAC, MP4, 3GP, AVI, MOV, MKV, and WEBM as output formats. A file-upload conversion link is also provided, but it leads to CloudConvert rather than describing a ClipConverter upload workflow.

The controls make ClipConverter more than a format selector: users can set audio and video bitrate, choose video resolution and aspect ratio, select mono or stereo audio, and specify start and end points for trimming. Automatic settings can use the original codecs. That should suit one-off conversions where the output needs to match a particular size, shape, channel setup, or excerpt. The described process runs on ClipConverter's servers, so it depends on an online workflow and is not an option for offline conversion. Batch conversion is not listed, making it a less suitable fit for repeated multi-file jobs.

ClipConverter has a free plan. Its Premium page advertises $3 for one month, with dedicated premium servers, no ads, and ClipConverter Desktop included, but the page also says premium accounts are currently unavailable. Treat those as advertised benefits rather than a currently purchasable plan. The service is available on the web, and the Desktop offering is mentioned without specified platform compatibility; support is listed by email. Choose ClipConverter for occasional URL conversion and trimming with format and quality controls. Look elsewhere if you need offline or batch processing, or require a currently available paid tier.
