Chromashop review
A focused desktop tool for image-only chroma-key compositing, with Pro positioning controls.

Chromashop is desktop software for replacing green or blue backgrounds in digital photos. It is designed for photographers, photo-booth operators, hobbyists, and professionals who need traditional chroma-key compositing on Windows or macOS. The workflow centers on one-click keying, with support for wrinkle-resistant backdrop keying, variable lighting adjustment, transparent-background PNG export, and command-line photo compositing. The product is focused on image work rather than video production.
The two plans divide the core compositing workflow from additional layout controls. Chroma Photo Basic provides single-click chroma keying. ChromaPhoto Pro adds the ability to move the foreground relative to the background, adjust canvas size, scale the background, and adjust green color spill. This makes Pro the more suitable choice when a simple background replacement is not enough and the subject, canvas, or background needs further adjustment. Both plans sit within a paid desktop product, and there is no free plan.
Chromashop also offers a separate command-line tool for processing photos in scripts, which suits repeatable image workflows and batch processing. Transparent PNG export supports compositions that need to retain transparency after the background is removed. Its scope is deliberately narrow: the software handles photos and does not provide a video version, while AI background removal is not part of the feature set. Choose Chromashop for desktop green-screen photography and scripted photo compositing; choose another product if video editing, AI removal, or a broader media workflow is central to the project.
