Challenger Comics Viewer is an Android app for reading comics, manga, books, and PDFs on phones and tablets. It is suited to readers with collections spread across different file types or storage locations, as well as those who want to adjust how pages appear and scroll. The app is listed as free and ad-free on Google Play, and its library can display covers in list, grid, or folder views.
File and source compatibility are central strengths. It reads CBZ/ZIP, CBR/RAR, CBT/TAR, CB7/7Z, PDF, DjVu, ePUB, and JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and BMP images. For storage, it can access local files and sources including Google Drive, OneDrive, Mega, Dropbox, FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, OPDS, DLNA/UPnP, Ubooquity, and Windows/Samba/CIFS. That breadth can suit readers managing files across personal storage and network libraries. File access should not be confused with cloud synchronization: synchronization is not part of the listed capabilities.
Reading controls include single-page or multiple-image modes, vertical or horizontal scrolling, and left-to-right or right-to-left reading. Readers can adjust zoom, cropping, scaling filters, brightness, contrast, and saturation; history and resume-from-last-position help continue a book, while automatic next-issue opening supports sequential reading. The trade-off is platform scope: this is an Android-only mobile app, with no panel-reading mode. Choose it if broad format support and varied file sources matter more than cross-platform availability or panel-by-panel navigation; readers needing those capabilities should look elsewhere.
