CAXA 3D is an industrial 3D CAD application for product development, equipment design, tooling and component design. It is aimed at engineering teams working on parts, assemblies, sheet-metal products, complex surfaces and piping systems. The hybrid modeling approach combines parametric engineering tools with direct surface editing. Its scope also covers engineering drawings, standard-part libraries, rendering, animation, motion simulation and large-assembly work with lightweight loading.

The two paid editions differ mainly by licensing and activation. CAXA 3D实体设计订阅服务 uses a subscription license with per-user activation and monthly or annual payment. CAXA 3D实体设计 uses a perpetual license with hardware-key activation and supports offline, local-network and internet environments. Both plans list Windows 7 and Windows 10 support. The product therefore suits organizations choosing between recurring subscription access and a perpetual-license model, while teams on other operating systems should look elsewhere.

Its strongest fit is engineering-heavy design that needs more than basic solid modeling. Assembly workflows include clearance and interference checks plus 3D BOM generation; sheet-metal tools cover unfolding calculations, punching and bending; and piping provides parametric routing and material lists. Interoperability spans CATIA V5, Pro/E (Creo), UG NX, Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, IGES, ACIS, Parasolid, STEP, JT, IFC, Rhino, DWG, DXF and EXB. CAXA 3D also connects with CAXA CAD Electronic Drawing Board, CAXA CAM Manufacturing Engineer, CAXA 3D Process and CAXA CAE. Choose it for Windows-based industrial CAD with piping and manufacturing-oriented workflows; avoid it if cross-platform support is essential.
