Brick review
A focused CMS for publishing simple, collaborative, text-heavy websites.

Brick is a hosted document editor and website builder for individuals, small sites, and teams publishing documentation, knowledge bases, tutorials, blogs, course materials, and landing pages. Its document-based editor turns text-heavy content into websites immediately. Pages can use Brick subdomains or custom domains, while workspaces and page-level editing access support collaboration. The service runs on the web and also includes themes, custom CSS, HTML, JavaScript, embeds, image optimization, CDN hosting, and HTML or Markdown exports.
Pricing follows a freemium model. The free tier includes a personal workspace, a brick.do subdomain, unlimited pages and images subject to fair use, custom fonts and CSS styles, custom HTML and JavaScript, and knowledge base and chat support. The Hobby plan costs $5 per month and adds private and public pages, three personal workspaces, one custom domain, automatic SSL for custom domains, and the same customization and support options. Business costs $39 per month and adds unlimited personal workspaces, three team workspaces, guest editing, three custom domains, and weekly archives by email. These plans suit progressively larger publishing arrangements without changing Brick’s document-first approach.
Brick’s main strength is focused publishing rather than broad content operations. Google Analytics, Intercom, Jotform, and Disqus integrations support common website needs, and exports provide HTML or Markdown backups. The product is a strong fit for teams that want quick public pages with flexible code and access controls. It is less suitable for organizations that need verified editorial workflows, custom roles, multilingual publishing, SEO tooling, media-library management, or structured content. Those requirements call for a CMS with deeper editorial and content-modeling capabilities.
