Boson ExSim-Max is an online exam-preparation product for candidates pursuing professional IT certifications. It is designed for learners who want certification-specific practice exams rather than a broad study platform. Separate ExSim-Max versions cover certifications from Cisco, CompTIA, ISC2, AWS, Microsoft, ISACA, PMI, and EC-Council, with exam scope and question-bank size varying by product.
The main strength is its simulation and review workflow. Full exam simulations use live-exam timing, while study mode provides answers and explanations for guided practice. Detailed explanations and references support answer review, and score reports include category breakdowns that help learners identify knowledge gaps. Progress tracking and review tools for incorrect or marked questions add structure between practice sessions. These features make ExSim-Max a good fit for candidates who already know which certification they are pursuing and want targeted repetition under exam-like conditions.
Pricing is straightforward: the ExSim-Max Practice Exam plan costs $99 USD per year, billed annually. It includes certification-specific practice exams, detailed explanations and references, simulation mode, and score reports with category breakdowns. Access is web-based, with laptop, tablet, and smartphone access, and the product also lists cloud and browser-extension deployment. Email and documentation support are available, and a 30-day refund period applies. Choose ExSim-Max for timed simulations, performance tracking, and focused certification review. Candidates seeking a wider learning curriculum, broader platform coverage, or one general question bank across many exams should consider an alternative.
