Boots Photo review
A free, wide-platform tool for creating photo books, prints, calendars and gifts.

Boots Photo is a consumer photo-printing service operated by Boots UK and powered by CEWE. It is designed for individuals and families who want to create and order printed keepsakes and personalised gifts. Projects can be made through the website, mobile app, downloadable Creator Software or in-store kiosks. The service covers photo books, calendars, greeting cards, postcards, prints, posters, canvas prints, wall art, phone cases, cushions, jigsaw puzzles, mugs and advent calendars.
Platform coverage is a major strength. The free Creator Software supports Windows, Mac and Linux, while the service also offers web, iOS and Android access. Desktop users can create projects offline, import images from cloud storage and use templates with automatic photo-book assistance. The mobile app adds photo editing, filters and text tools. For photo books, features include maps, video QR codes and background removal, giving users more ways to personalise projects beyond basic image placement.
Boots Photo does not advertise a paid software subscription. Its Creator Software and app are free, while physical products are purchased separately through vendor checkout. That structure suits users who want broad creation tools without a software fee and are comfortable paying when ordering prints or products. It is less suited to buyers seeking a subscription that bundles physical products, or to users who need only a minimal print-ordering workflow. Individuals and families wanting platform flexibility and multiple product types should find the strongest fit here.
