Bluebeam Revu is a PDF application for architecture, engineering, construction, and operations professionals. It combines PDF creation, viewing, text editing, annotations, form fields, OCR, conversion, measurements, document organization, and collaboration through Bluebeam Studio. Its Windows desktop application is complemented by web, iOS, and Android access through subscriptions, making it suited to teams that review technical drawings and manage document workflows across project participants.

The four annual per-user plans scale from core document work to automation and AI-assisted workflows. Basics includes PDF creation, viewing, editing, markups, length and area measurements, and participation in Studio collaborations. Core adds advanced measurements, drawing overlay and comparison, Studio collaboration hosting and management, plus CAD plug-ins and workflows. Complete adds Dynamic Fill measurements and markups, Microsoft Excel Quantity Link, batch hyperlinking, slip-sheet, signature, and seal automation, along with scripting commands. Max adds AI integration through MCP, AI drawing reviews and comparisons, AI multi-view Stitching, and connected Studio Sessions with Revit. A 14-day free trial is available.

Revu’s strongest distinction is its depth for drawing review and project coordination. Users can measure lengths, areas, perimeters, counts, angles, and volume; compare and overlay revisions; create searchable PDFs with OCR; and apply digital signatures, password protection, and permission controls. Integrations span Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Navisworks, GoCanvas, Procore, NewForma, Autodesk Forma, OneDrive, and Box. Teams needing technical-document review, AEC integrations, and structured collaboration should consider Revu. Those seeking a general PDF editor with a free plan or a simpler tier structure may prefer a narrower tool.
