Auslan Kids review
A web-based Auslan resource suite for schools teaching children.

Auslan Kids is an online educational resource service for Australian schools, teachers and authorised students learning Australian Sign Language. It combines interactive Auslan videos, dictionary tools, games, grammar resources, e-books and printable workbooks. The content covers North and South Dialect Auslan and is designed for classroom teaching, home revision, Deaf students and ESL learners. Schools teaching children Auslan will find the strongest fit, particularly where teachers need materials that extend beyond individual lessons.
The Full School Subscription Package provides access to all online Auslan Kids content. Pricing is arranged through Auslan Resources, so schools need to contact the vendor rather than select a public self-serve plan. The package brings together a broad mix of materials: video dictionary search, a picture dictionary with over 1,000 signs, sentence-arranging and fingerspelling games, grammar learning resources, e-books and printable workbooks. Progress tracking is also included in the service specification, while the teacher workspace adds tools for creating videos and worksheets.
Auslan Kids is web-only, which suits schools with reliable browser access but limits use when students need offline learning. Its narrow language focus is an advantage for Australian schools teaching Auslan, including classes working with Northern or Southern dialect variations, but it is not intended as a multi-language sign-learning platform. Choose it when a school wants a central collection of Auslan classroom and revision resources with teacher-facing creation tools. Consider another option when offline access, self-serve pricing or support for signed languages beyond Auslan is a priority.
