AudioRanger is desktop software for identifying, tagging, and organizing personal music collections. It suits solo listeners and small-scale libraries that need to clean metadata, standardize filenames, manage album artwork, and find duplicate files. Automatic identification combines audio analysis with existing metadata, filenames, and folder structures, then draws additional information from MusicBrainz and AcoustID. The result is a workflow centered on repairing and organizing files stored on a computer rather than managing a cloud library.

Two editions shape the buying decision. The Free version is available for users who want to handle tagging without a paid license. The Pro version adds a lifetime license, use on up to five of the purchaser’s own devices, and free updates. Its standout capability is batch processing: tags for thousands of audio files can be edited together, while a spreadsheet-style interface supports direct metadata organization. Configurable patterns can rename, move, or copy files and folders, and duplicate detection can either delete matches or move them into a review folder.

AudioRanger connects its identification workflow to MusicBrainz, AcoustID, and Cover Art Archive. Album covers can be added automatically, searched manually, or edited when needed. The software supports 16 audio file formats and runs on Windows and macOS as a desktop deployment. Choose it if automatic recognition, batch cleanup, artwork handling, and local file organization are the priority. Consider another option if you need browser or mobile access, broader platform coverage, or support beyond email.
