AudioMass is a free, open-source audio and waveform editor designed for recording, editing, processing, and exporting audio in a browser. It suits creators, educators, developers, and audio editors who want a lightweight tool for waveform work without a paid plan. The application runs locally in the browser, works offline after loading, and can also be self-hosted from its public source repository.

Its feature set is broader than a basic trim-and-export utility. Waveform navigation includes zoom, pan, frequency visualization, and peak or distortion signaling, while editing tools cover cutting, copying, pasting, trimming, silence, reversing, and inversion. AudioMass also includes recording, fades, compression, normalization, reverb, delay, distortion, pitch shifting, graph-based pitch and speed profiles, and repair tools for clicks, hum, and edit points. Beat detection, markers, beat bars, snap-to-beat editing, and loop creation with crossfade preview support rhythm-focused work. Multitrack clips, mixer controls, recording, and mixdown extend it to larger arrangements.

AudioMass keeps its delivery model straightforward: it is free and open source, with no paid tiers described. WAV or MP3 export and .amss session saving cover common output and project needs. The main trade-off is ecosystem scope. AudioMass is limited to web and self-hosted deployment, does not provide cloud collaboration, and lacks plug-in support. Choose it for accessible waveform editing, quick audio processing, recording, repairs, loops, and modest multitrack arrangements. Choose another product if your workflow depends on collaborative cloud projects, an extensible plug-in ecosystem, or a broader desktop production environment.
