audiolaz Room review
A cross-platform stereo correction tool built around Roon, FIR filters and flexible measurements.

audiolaz Room is software for measuring loudspeaker response at a listening seat and creating correction filters for music playback. It suits listeners who want a Roon-centered workflow but also need support for Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android. Measurements can use an iPhone, an Android browser or a calibrated USB microphone, making the capture process adaptable to different hardware. Measurement, analysis and verification are free, while listening with correction requires a one-time licence.
Its main strength is the depth of its correction workflow. The software analyzes responses, calculates minimum-phase FIR convolution filters, and offers Neutral, Balanced, Warm and Analogue presets. Custom target curves can be imported from REW or Dirac formats. Filters can be installed through Roon MUSE Convolution or exported as WAV files for compatible playback chains. Integrations also include AirPlay, Spotify Connect, UPnP/DLNA, Audirvāna, JRiver, BubbleUPnP, mConnect and Diretta, giving it broader ecosystem coverage than a Roon-only utility.
Setup involves taking three listening-seat measurements, selecting or importing a target, generating filters and then running a post-install verification measurement with a score. That sequence provides a clear check after installation, but it still asks users to manage microphones, playback software and filter deployment. audiolaz Room is a sensible choice for stereo listeners comfortable with that process, especially those already using Roon or another supported platform. It is less suitable for multichannel correction, users seeking an established production release, or anyone who wants correction without a paid listening licence.
