Artec Studio is a Windows application for capturing, processing, editing, measuring, inspecting, and exporting 3D data. It supports Artec structured-light, LiDAR, and target-based laser scanners, along with photos, videos, and camera-equipped devices. The product is aimed at professional workflows such as reverse engineering, quality inspection, 3D modeling, documentation, and photogrammetry, rather than casual 3D scanning.

Pricing separates photogrammetry from full scanner workflows. The Trial provides full access to Artec Studio Pro for 30 days, but projects cannot be saved or exported. Lite Individual costs $48 per month or $480 per year for one user and personal, non-profit photogrammetry projects. Lite Business costs $96 per month or $960 per year for paid projects and business use. Neither Lite plan supports 3D scanning. Pro Subscription costs $1,700 per year and adds full 3D scan capture, processing, photogrammetry, professional editing, reverse engineering, inspection tools, workflow scripting, major feature updates, new algorithms, and 24/7 support. Pro Lifetime costs $4,300 one time and includes permanent access to the acquired version, but not scripting.

Its main strength is breadth across the 3D data workflow: point-cloud processing, mesh reconstruction and fusion, real-time fusion for supported scanners, mesh editing, scan-to-CAD tools, inspection, measurement, mapping, command-line processing, and programmatic control through an SDK/API. It exports formats including OBJ, PLY, STL, E57, USD, STEP, IGES, and X_T, and connects with Artec Cloud, SOLIDWORKS, Design X, and Control X. Choose Artec Studio when professional capture and inspection are central requirements. Choose another option if you need macOS support, a free permanent plan, or scanner support within a Lite subscription.
