ARGOS is an OpenAIRE service for creating and managing Data Management Plans and other research management plans. Researchers and project teams can start from templates, collaborate through comments, version plans, and publish them. Data stewards and institutions can configure templates and workflows around their policies. Its focus is a good fit for teams that need DMP workflows connected to repositories; it is less suited to buyers seeking only a general-purpose document editor.

The Free plan includes default blueprints and plan types, team collaboration, comments, plan versioning, OpenAIRE API prefill, and publishing in Zenodo with persistent identifiers. Advanced costs €1,200 per year and adds up to 3 custom blueprints, reusable templates, up to 1,000 OMPs, and the ability to deposit OMPs and configure APIs. Premium is €4,200 per year, adding an own cloud tenant and branding, up to 30 custom blueprints, different user rights, customised export templates, and premium technical support. On-Premise costs €5,000 per year and includes local installation, own storage, repository deposit integration, and premium technical support.

Repository and ecosystem connections are central to ARGOS: listed integrations include OpenAIRE Graph and APIs, Zenodo, EOSC services, DSpace, Dataverse, InvenioRDM, and CKAN. Plans can be public or private and exported in PDF, DOCX, XML, and RDA JSON. Cloud and self-hosted deployment options make it relevant to institutions with distinct hosting needs. Teams wanting a simple free workflow can begin with Free, while institutions needing custom templates, branded tenancy, or local installation should weigh the annual paid tiers. Buyers who do not need research-plan versioning or repository workflows may find its specialized focus unnecessary.
