Arcentry is a browser-based diagramming tool for infrastructure and cloud architecture teams. It supports 2D and 3D diagrams using cloud, on-premises, open-source, and generic components. Users can customize colors, icons, 3D models, uploaded images, metadata, charts, widgets, and monitoring views. Interactive static and live embeds, PNG exports, and synchronized collaboration make it suitable for architecture documentation, deployment views, and shared technical planning.

Pricing follows a freemium structure. The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes three architectures, 30 items per architecture, and 5,000 API and service requests per month. Standard costs $9.90 per month with unlimited architectures, unlimited items, and 30,000 monthly API and service requests. Enterprise adds self-hosted deployment, SSO and custom authentication, permissions and data control, and enterprise support. Organizations can therefore start with a constrained workspace, move to broader usage on Standard, or select Enterprise for administrative and deployment requirements.

Arcentry’s strongest distinction is its connection between visual modeling and infrastructure data. Terraform and CloudFormation imports can turn configuration into diagrams, while CSV and JSON imports provide additional input paths. The REST API supports creating and updating diagrams, and live embeds can expose interactive or monitoring-oriented views. It fits infrastructure-focused teams that need diagrams to stay connected to technical information. Users seeking a broad, general-purpose diagramming tool may find its specialized infrastructure orientation less suitable, while organizations needing SSO, self-hosting, or tighter data controls should choose Enterprise.

Arcentry pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Creates customizable 2D and 3D infrastructure diagrams
    • Imports Terraform, CloudFormation, CSV, and JSON data
    • Supports REST API updates, collaboration, and live embeds
  • Where it doesn't
    • The Free plan limits architectures, items, and monthly requests
    • SSO, custom authentication, and data controls require Enterprise
    • Its focus is infrastructure rather than general-purpose diagramming
