AnteRedact review
A flexible redaction platform for teams handling sensitive document collections.

AnteRedact is document-redaction software for organisations removing personal and other sensitive information from files. It is positioned for public authorities, law firms, courts, insurers and teams processing large document collections. The product identifies names, addresses, identification numbers, email addresses and phone numbers, while OCR extends detection to scanned pages and images. Browser-based Redact Assisted supports review, and Redact Folders automates processing through watched folders on Windows.
The published plans show two approaches. Redact Assisted provides browser-based redaction and is priced by users with access. Redact Folders provides automated folder watching, with a Standard tier for under 10,000 documents per month. Pricing amounts require contacting sales, while the 14-day offer is a trial rather than an unlimited free plan. Teams can also choose between on-premise and EU-cloud deployment, which makes the product suitable for organisations with different hosting requirements.
Workflow depth is a central strength. Users can bulk upload, approve and download documents in batches, while per-document processing logs and timestamps support review and traceability. Irreversible removal covers both visible and hidden document layers. For broader automation, the REST API supports upload, status and download operations, and integrations include iManage, SMB file shares, S3-compatible buckets and webhooks. AnteRedact supports PDF, DOCX, RTF, DOC, PPTX, PPT, XLSX, XLS, MSG, EML, JPG, PNG, TXT, MD, HTML, XML, JSON and YAML. Choose it when deployment flexibility, OCR, audit-oriented logs and automation matter; teams seeking transparent self-serve pricing or a general-purpose document platform should look elsewhere.
