Ans Scientific Calculator is a paid calculator app for people who need scientific functions and exact arithmetic on Apple devices. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and its offline operation suits calculations away from a connection. The app covers trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots and scientific notation alongside memory, six reusable named variables and 15 built-in physics constants. Its emphasis is a practical scientific calculator rather than a general-purpose math environment.
The published product details list one plan, Ans Scientific Calculator, at £4.99 as a one-time purchase, with no subscription. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. The app requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, or macOS 13 or later, so buyers should check their device versions before purchasing. The product website also says the app has no account, advertising or tracking. For Apple users seeking a single purchase for calculations across devices, the pricing and platform coverage are straightforward.
The distinctive strengths are exact fraction arithmetic with an optional decimal display, editable expressions and calculation history, including Home Screen history widgets. These make it suitable for users who want to review or reuse calculations, and named variables and physics constants add convenience for recurring work. Its scope is still that of a focused calculator: users looking for complex-number support or a broader set of advanced tools should compare alternatives. Choose Ans for offline scientific calculations on supported Apple devices; look elsewhere if you need a free plan or confirmed support for those broader capabilities.
