Amplenote brings notes, Jots, tasks, calendar views, backlinks, tags, Markdown formatting, attachments, sharing, publishing, and AI-powered search into one productivity application. It is aimed at individuals, writers, researchers, and collaborative teams that want their planning and reference material connected rather than separated across several tools. Offline reading and editing of cached notes is available, and the app spans web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and API access.

The published plans use a free Personal tier and paid upgrades. Personal includes notes, tasks, and calendar features, mobile apps, Windows or macOS PWA installation, a 5 MB file-upload limit, and non-commercial use. Pro costs $5.84 per month when billed annually and adds a native desktop app, Graph View, a sidebar note viewer, external calendar synchronization, tag sharing, and larger file uploads. Unlimited costs $10 per month annually and adds Vault Notes, web-page publishing, a Desktop MCP Server, and additional themes. Founder costs $20 per month annually and includes Ample Agent Pro plugin installation, early feature access, a dedicated Discord channel, and a one-on-one onboarding call. A 14-day free trial is also available.

Platform coverage and connected workflows are central to Amplenote's appeal. Two-way synchronization is available with Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, and Apple Calendar, while notes can be shared with read-only or edit permissions and published or embedded on the web. Vault Notes provide client-side encryption, and attachments support images, video, audio, PDFs, and office files. Shared editing includes activity indicators, but real-time cursors are not offered. Choose Amplenote if you want a broad notes-and-planning system with calendar integration and optional encryption; consider a different tool if real-time collaborative editing is essential.
