Allplan review
A broad BIM suite for firms coordinating architecture, engineering, construction and cost workflows.

Allplan is BIM software for architecture, structural and civil engineering, infrastructure, fabrication and construction workflows. It supports design and documentation from early concepts through detailed modeling, quantity takeoff, detailing and construction deliverables. Its multidisciplinary scope suits AEC firms that need one environment for building and infrastructure work, rather than a tool focused only on architectural drafting. Web, Windows and iOS access are listed, with mobile access positioned as a viewer.
Pricing is organized into four annual-billed plans. ALLPLAN Basic costs $140 per user per month and includes CAD drafting, basic 3D modeling and cloud-based collaboration. ALLPLAN Concept costs $241 and adds BIM modeling, visualization and documentation. ALLPLAN Professional costs $299 and adds advanced BIM modeling, multi-material workflows and detailing tools. ALLPLAN Ultimate costs $404 and covers building and infrastructure workflows, design-to-build tools and the comprehensive ALLPLAN edition. A 14-day free trial is available, and the listed US-shop prices exclude VAT.
The strongest case for Allplan is coordination across disciplines and project stages. IFC import and export, Revit, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, SCIA, SAF and Bluebeam integrations support connected workflows, while BIMPLUS provides cloud-based interdisciplinary collaboration. Model coordination and clash detection help teams review shared work, and quantity takeoff and costing workflows connect design information with project planning. The Python API and visual scripting add extensibility. Firms seeking broad BIM, infrastructure and construction coverage should consider Allplan; teams needing only lightweight 2D drafting may find its wider scope and higher paid tiers unnecessary.
