AGEphone is a SIP-based VoIP softphone from ageet Corporation for personal use. It lets people place and receive calls through a compatible SIP service provider or, in Japan, an NTT Hikari Denwa home gateway. The free edition is available on Windows, iOS and Android, making it suitable for individuals who want a software phone rather than a bundled telephone service. Users need to provide the compatible SIP service themselves.

The published plans show a free AGEphone edition with SIP softphone functionality, including a free iPhone app and free personal-use edition. Two paid options add specific functions: Ad Free AGEphone removes advertising, while Transfer Calls Function adds call transfer. The product is therefore structured around a free calling client with optional feature additions, rather than a broad business phone subscription. Commercial users are directed to AGEphone Cloud or AGEphone Business.

AGEphone’s strongest fit is focused SIP calling. It supports multiple SIP providers, call history and address-book integration, hold, DTMF, background operation for incoming calls, STUN network traversal, configurable calling rules, and G.711, G.722, GSM, SPEEX and SILK codecs. Its documented integrations include compatible SIP service providers and the NTT Hikari Denwa home gateway. Choose AGEphone when those calling functions and platform coverage match your needs. Choose another product if recording, conferencing, messaging, or a commercial-use edition is central to your requirements.
