126 Mail is NetEase’s personal email service for people who want an @126.com address. Its free mailbox supports sending and receiving messages, attachments, folders, contacts, signatures, email lists, automatic replies, forwarding, and email recall. Filtering and blacklist/whitelist controls add ways to manage incoming mail. Browser access is complemented by mobile and desktop access, making it a fit for users who want a personal mailbox across those platforms rather than a service centered on a broader business suite.
The free offering covers core mailbox needs, with 8 GB of storage. According to NetEase’s VIP registration page, the lowest listed tier costs CNY 15 per month and includes 8G mailbox capacity plus 15G large-attachment capacity. VIP tiers are relevant for people who need more storage or attachment capacity; the free mailbox may be sufficient for routine personal email. Compare the capacity you need with the published tier before choosing a paid option.
For people who prefer a separate mail client, 126 Mail documents POP3/SMTP access through Outlook and Foxmail. NetEase also documents AI toolbox features in its help center, alongside its mobile app and desktop client access. The available feature description does not establish what those AI tools do, so buyers should weigh the core mail functions rather than assume a particular AI workflow. Choose 126 Mail if an @126.com address and its email controls suit your needs; look elsewhere if you need a clearly defined AI feature set or a different mailbox ecosystem.
