A power station’s watt-hours, charging time and solar-input rating don’t tell you exactly what you’ll get in use. Independent tests show that usable energy, recharge performance and other results can differ by model and test conditions—even among units from the same brand. The useful comparison is between exact models, not brand names.
1. Rated capacity is not the same as usable energy
A 1,024 Wh rating does not guarantee 1,024 Wh at an AC outlet. In Solar Power Auditor’s reported testing, units were fully charged, drained to shutdown under a constant 300 W AC load, and measured at the outlet. Its results ranged from 80% to 93% of rated capacity across the listed models. The test protocol matters: AC conversion and standby draw affect delivered energy, and a different load or output path can produce a different result.
| Model | Reported usable energy | Rated capacity | Share of rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 | 3,790 Wh | 4,096 Wh | 93% |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 | 890 Wh | 1,024 Wh | 87% |
| BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 | 890 Wh | 1,024 Wh | 87% |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | 910 Wh | 1,070 Wh | 85% |
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 | 870 Wh | 1,024 Wh | 85% |
| Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 | 1,710 Wh | 2,042 Wh | 84% |
| EcoFlow River 2 Pro | 620 Wh | 768 Wh | 81% |
| Anker SOLIX C300 | 230 Wh | 288 Wh | 80% |
These are Solar Power Auditor’s reported test results, not measurements of every unit or a universal correction factor. Its page identifies 2026, but the exact test dates are not stated. See its methods and results.

2. AC and DC can deliver different amounts
Energy measured at an AC outlet is not interchangeable with energy measured from a DC port. In the ADAC test published on 11 June 2025, four units reportedly delivered more measured energy by DC than AC. For example, the Anker SOLIX C800 Plus delivered 663 Wh DC versus 630 Wh AC, according to Ampcarry’s account of the ADAC measurements. Treat that as a result for this model and test—not a prediction for other stations.

- WHAT YOU GET: 1* Jackery Explorer 300 Portable Power Station, 1*AC adapter, 1* car charger cable, 1* user guide (𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝.)
Ampcarry’s arithmetic on the ADAC AC measurements gives these usable-energy shares: BLUETTI AC180P, 93.1%; EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus, 91.3%; Jackery Explorer 1000 v2, 88.1%; and Anker SOLIX C800 Plus, 82.0%. The ADAC cohort contained eight units rated from 768 to 1,440 Wh. Those percentages come from a different test cohort and source than the table above, so they should not be ranked against Solar Power Auditor’s results as if they came from one controlled comparison. Ampcarry explains its reporting of the ADAC test.
3. Brand averages can hide bigger model differences
In Solar Power Auditor’s results, EcoFlow’s DELTA Pro 3 delivered 93% of rated capacity, while its River 2 Pro delivered 81%. The 12-point difference within that brand is larger than the spread between several brands’ individual models. A brand label is therefore a poor substitute for checking the exact unit you plan to buy.
Model suffixes and revisions matter, too. A result for the DELTA 3 is not a result for the DELTA 3 Plus; a result for the C1000 Gen 2 does not establish performance for every C1000 variant. Match the complete model name in the test, product listing and manual.

4. A recharge-time claim is not a measured recharge time
Solar Power Auditor reports both claimed and measured figures for selected models. Some results are close; others are not:
| Model and metric | Claim reported by Solar Power Auditor | Measurement reported by Solar Power Auditor |
|---|---|---|
| Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 recharge | 1 h 45 min | 2 h 30 min |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 recharge | 49 min | 56 min |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 recharge | 1 h 35 min | 1 h 35 min |
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 recharge | 56 min | 54 min |
| EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 peak charging power | 1,800 W | About 1,600 W |
| BLUETTI AC70 UPS transfer time | 20 ms | 14 ms |
The source does not establish that one brand is consistently faster or more accurate. Charge settings, starting battery level, temperature and test conditions can affect a comparison; a measured result should be read alongside the conditions and exact model reported by the tester. Solar Power Auditor’s comparison provides the figures above.
5. A solar-input ceiling is not a daily-energy promise
Solar Power Auditor lists 1,000 W maximum solar input for the BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 and Elite 200 V2, compared with 400 W for the Jackery units in its tested lineup. These are input ceilings, not forecasts of how much energy a station will harvest in a day. Actual input depends on the panels, sunlight, placement and operating conditions.

Before matching panels to a station, check the exact model’s manual for its solar voltage and current limits, supported panel configuration and connector requirements. A panel setup that exceeds an input limit is not made suitable by the station’s headline wattage.

6. Output watts determine what you can run
Capacity tells you how much energy a battery stores; output ratings tell you what it can power at once. Check continuous output, surge output, outlet type and the appliance’s startup behavior. A motor or compressor can demand more power briefly when starting than while running. A station with enough watt-hours for a device may still be unable to start it.
- List the appliances you intend to use and their running and startup requirements.
- Check the station’s continuous and surge limits, plus any per-port restrictions.
- Consider whether you need AC outlets, DC ports or both; measured energy can vary by output path.
7. Weight matters when the station has to move
A high-capacity station can be useful at a fixed campsite or as backup at home, but its rated energy is less helpful if the unit is too heavy for the way you plan to use it. Compare the exact model’s weight and form factor with how far it must be carried or rolled, and whether it will stay in one place. Outdoor Life’s tested lineup reports model-level differences in weight, but those figures and product revisions should be checked against current regional specifications. Outdoor Life’s lineup and test overview describes its testing.

8. Expansion support is specific to the model
Some stations support add-on batteries; others do not, and compatible accessories are not interchangeable simply because products share a brand. If you may need more capacity later, verify the exact station’s supported expansion batteries and the resulting system capacity in its current manual. Do not assume that a model’s expansion options carry over to another model in the same series.
9. Cycle-life figures need an endpoint
A cycle count is incomplete without the capacity threshold used to define the battery’s remaining life. Solar Power Auditor notes that some Jackery products are rated to 70% remaining capacity, while competitors use 80% endpoints, even where cycle-count headlines look similar. Compare both the cycle count and its endpoint, and confirm the wording for the exact model: the figures are not equivalent if one rating allows more capacity loss than another.
10. Manuals can expose specification differences
Solar Power Auditor reports discrepancies between marketing and manual figures for the BLUETTI Elite 100 V2’s noise level, and between stated charging-input information for the BLUETTI AC70. These are reported inconsistencies for those models, not proof that every product document is inaccurate. Check the current manual for your exact model and region, especially when a noise level, input limit or accessory compatibility affects your decision.

What the separate ADAC grades do—and do not—say
Ampcarry reports these grades from the ADAC test published on 11 June 2025: BLUETTI AC180P, 2.0; EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus, 2.1; Anker SOLIX C800 Plus, 2.5; and Jackery Explorer 1000 v2, 5.0. Ampcarry says the Jackery grade was tied to a safety finding involving its DC charging inputs. This is a result from that ADAC test and its named cohort, not a current, universal safety judgment about a brand or all units. For a safety concern, check current manufacturer documentation and any applicable notices for the exact model and region.
How to choose for your use
Start with the job, then compare exact models against it:
- Set the load. Identify the appliances, their running and startup power, and whether each will use AC or DC.
- Estimate runtime from relevant evidence. Use measured usable energy for the output path and load closest to yours when available; don’t treat rated watt-hours as delivered AC energy.
- Check how you will recharge. Compare wall-charge claims with reported measurements where available, and verify solar input limits and compatible panel configurations in the manual.
- Account for handling and future needs. Compare weight and form factor, then confirm whether the exact model supports expansion batteries you may want later.
- Read durability and documentation carefully. Compare cycle counts at the same remaining-capacity endpoint and use the current manual for your region and revision.
Solar Power Auditor frames its model-dependent use cases this way: Jackery for carrying, BLUETTI for solar input, EcoFlow for recharge speed and expansion, and Anker for high output in roughly the 1 kWh class. Treat those as that source’s suggestions, not universal brand advantages. The cited test results show why the exact model and use case matter more than a brand-wide label.
