Choose Polar Verity Sense if you swim or want to record a workout without keeping a phone or watch nearby. Choose Wahoo TICKR FIT for land-based training if you prefer its forearm band and do not need onboard workout storage. Both are rechargeable optical heart-rate armbands with Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity, and both manufacturers claim up to 30 hours of battery life per charge. Specifications and the available testing do not establish a universal accuracy winner.

What makes the Polar Verity Sense different?

Polar’s main advantages are its swimming features and its ability to record a workout internally. Its user manual lists up to 30 hours of continuous training, up to 600 hours of workout memory and 50 m water resistance suitable for swimming and bathing. Polar’s product page describes three modes: swimming, live heart-rate broadcasting, and workout recording for later review. It also lists two simultaneous Bluetooth connections and unlimited ANT+ connections.

The included swim-goggle clip lets you attach the sensor to your goggles for swimming. The onboard memory is useful when you do not want to take a phone or watch to the pool or keep one nearby during a workout; you can review the stored session later.

Polar’s Polish regional product page describes a Phlex trial and a one-year app license with the sensor. That offer is specific to that page and market; check local terms rather than assuming it applies elsewhere.

What makes the Wahoo TICKR FIT different?

TICKR FIT is a land-training option for people who want an optical sensor worn on the forearm or upper arm. Wahoo recommends placing it on the upper forearm, just below the elbow, on either the inside or outside of the arm. The band should be snug enough to stay in place. Wahoo includes small and large strap sizes, and says the strap is hand-wash only.

Wahoo specifies Bluetooth and ANT+, up to 30 hours of battery life and IPX7 water resistance. Its product information distinguishes wet training from lap-pool swim tracking, so the water-resistance rating should not be read as a swimming-tracking feature. Wahoo’s EU specifications list one Bluetooth connection. The battery is non-replaceable and recharges using the included cable.

Is one more accurate?

The available evidence does not settle that question for all users and workouts. Both products use optical sensing, and specifications alone cannot show which will produce more accurate readings for a particular person or activity. Wareable reported its own steady-state test observations in its comparison, but those results are not a controlled, peer-reviewed head-to-head finding that establishes a general winner. Wahoo also notes in broader product information that optical sensing can lag during sharp interval changes. That is a reason to be cautious about interval readings, not proof that one of these two armbands is always more accurate.

If high-intensity interval accuracy is your deciding factor, the cited material is not enough to pick one confidently. Fit, placement and how securely the band stays in place are practical considerations, but neither manufacturer specification resolves the comparative accuracy question.
