Shiny Greavard will make its Pokémon GO debut during Halloween Part II, running November 1–5, 2026, local time. The official announcement says players may encounter it in the wild or earn an encounter through GO Pass and Field Research tasks; it does not publish encounter odds or guarantee a Shiny.
What is the exclusive new Pokémon debut?
The confirmed debut is Shiny Greavard, not a new Pokémon species. Pokémon GO’s Halloween Part II announcement says, “For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Greavard—if you’re lucky!” The official announcement identifies the newly available variant as Greavard’s Shiny form.
When does Shiny Greavard debut, and how can you encounter it?
Halloween Part II runs from Sunday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m. through Thursday, November 5 at 8:00 p.m. local time. During that window, the stated routes are wild encounters and rewards from GO Pass or Field Research tasks.
The announcement gives no Shiny encounter rate, so there is no confirmed way to calculate how many encounters might be needed. The wording “if you’re lucky” means an encounter is possible, not assured.

What else is new during Pokémon GO Halloween 2026?
Halloween Part I costume debuts
Part I runs from Tuesday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m. through Sunday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time. It introduces three costume variants: Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, Zubat wearing a top hat, and Sinistea wearing a bow. The announcement says Shiny versions may be encountered if players are lucky. These are separate costume additions, not the Shiny Greavard debut. Part I event details
Mega Sableye and Night Shade+
Beginning in Part II, eligible Mega Sableye can be raised to Super Max Mega Level and can use Night Shade+ while Mega Evolved. The move’s published power is 55 in Trainer Battles and 160 in Raid Battles; its power increases with Mega Level. Is the GO Pass required to encounter Shiny Greavard?
No. The official Part II announcement lists wild encounters as well as GO Pass and Field Research rewards, so the paid Deluxe pass is not presented as a requirement for every listed route. A free, time-limited event GO Pass runs October 27 at 10:00 a.m. through November 5 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Its rewards must be claimed by November 7 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The Part I announcement lists GO Pass Deluxe at US$7.99 and GO Pass Deluxe plus 10 ranks at US$9.99.
