For raids, Mega Raichu Y is the top overall Electric attacker in Dittobase’s level 40 eDPS baseline. Other rankings put Shadow Thundurus (Therian Forme), Regieleki, Shadow Zekrom, or Mega Raichu X near the top, depending on the scoring method and battle settings. There is no single ranking that applies to every raid team.
What “best Electric attacker” means in raids
This comparison is about raid damage, not Great League, Ultra League, Master League, or Max Battles. Electric attackers are most useful against raid bosses weak to Electric damage—particularly Flying- and Water-type opponents. A type ranking is a starting point; the boss matchup determines whether an Electric team is useful.

Rankings can differ because one list may score raw damage per second (DPS), another may balance damage against time lost to fainting and relobbying (eDPS), and another may compare counters for particular raid tiers. Level, Mega status, Shadow status, moves, weather, friendship, and Party Power also affect results.
What current raid rankings show
The figures below come from separate ranking tools, accessed or updated in October or August 2026. Their configurations and metrics differ, so the numbers are not a shared leaderboard.

Pokémon GO Hub: Super Max Level configuration
Pokémon GO Hub’s ranking, accessed October 7, 2026, displays a Super Max Level configuration. Its first three are Mega Raichu Y with Thunder Shock + Zap Cannon+ (39.13 DPS, 617.1 TDO), Mega Raichu X with Thunder Shock + Volt Tackle+ (34.95 DPS, 698.4 TDO), and Shadow Thundurus (Therian Forme) with Volt Switch + Wildbolt Storm (34.04 DPS, 541.3 TDO). The list allows changes to Mega level and other settings, so these values apply to the displayed configuration rather than every player’s roster. View Pokémon GO Hub’s Electric attacker rankings.

Pokebattler: boss- and tier-oriented counters
Pokebattler’s Electric-move counter ranking includes Mega Raichu Y and X, Shadow Raikou, Regieleki, Zeraora, Xurkitree, Thundurus (Therian Forme), Shadow Electivire, and Zekrom among its strongest displayed options. It aggregates results by estimator and raid tier instead of assigning every attacker one universal score. Check the relevant boss and tier when using its results. How to choose for your raid team
For the strongest eDPS in the stated baseline
Choose Mega Raichu Y if you can use it and its listed moves. It leads Dittobase’s level 40 eDPS baseline, which incorporates relobby considerations rather than treating raw DPS as the only measure. That result does not establish it as the best choice under every setting or against every boss.

For high displayed DPS
Shadow Thundurus (Therian Forme) leads GoSilph’s displayed DPS ranking, while Mega Raichu Y leads Pokémon GO Hub’s displayed Super Max Level configuration. Those results illustrate why the model and its settings matter: neither position should be read as a universal verdict.
For a Shadow option
Dittobase’s default eDPS quick picks name Shadow Zekrom as its top Shadow choice; GoSilph places Shadow Thundurus (Therian Forme) first overall by its displayed DPS. Dittobase describes Shadow Pokémon as dealing 20% more damage and taking 20% more incoming damage. Their offensive gain therefore comes with a durability cost, which can mean more faints or relobbies.

For a roster with more staying power
Look beyond DPS to TDO (total damage output) and faint counts. An attacker that survives longer may reduce relobby time and contribute more damage across a battle, even if another option has higher raw DPS. Dittobase’s Shadow Zekrom, for example, has higher displayed TDO than its Mega Raichu Y baseline pick, while Mega Raichu Y has higher eDPS. The better fit depends on whether the team’s constraint is damage speed or staying in the battle.
