A Google Camera (GCam) port is not confirmed to work on the POCO X8 Power. A search listing advertises a build, but it could not be verified, and no handset-specific compatibility test or working sample is established. Before installing any APK, check that the listing is genuine, confirm Camera2 API support, and look for recent reports from users with the same phone and software version.
Is there a verified GCam APK for the POCO X8 Power?
Not on the available evidence. GETDroidTips has an indexed page advertising “Latest GCam 9.6.19 Versions” for this model, but the page could not be opened to verify the APK, developer, signature, release date, configuration file, or instructions. That listing is not proof the port installs or works on the phone. GETDroidTips’ indexed POCO X8 Power listing
Do not treat a third-party port as Google’s official Camera app, and do not assume it will improve photos over POCO’s stock camera. No official Google release for this handset, confirmed stable port, or controlled photo comparison has been established.

Make sure the guide is for the POCO X8 Power
The POCO X8 Power is distinct from the base POCO X8. Smartprix reports that the Power launched in India on 4 September 2026, with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and a 50MP OIS main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and 32MP front camera. These specifications are secondary reporting, not evidence of GCam compatibility. Smartprix POCO X8 Power specifications

91mobiles also identifies the POCO X8 Power 5G and reports Android 16. A firmware catalog lists the Indian model code as 2609FPC74I, codename “brussels,” with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. That catalog is not Xiaomi’s support site, and the available information does not establish every region’s variant. GCam ports are community-modified builds, and support varies by developer, build, phone camera implementation, and Android version. GCam Hub’s general guidance says Camera2 API support is required; it does not confirm that a particular port supports the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 or the POCO X8 Power’s cameras. No device-specific Camera2 capability report was established. GCam Hub

- Confirm the exact phone and software. Check the model in Settings and note the Android and HyperOS versions. A report for the base X8 or another regional variant is not automatically applicable.
- Check Camera2 API support. Use a reputable Camera2 API checker and verify the reported capability for the phone. General port guidance explains Camera2 as the interface apps use to communicate with camera hardware, but a checker result alone does not guarantee that a particular GCam build works. Camera Handbook: Camera2 API
- Verify the specific port. Before downloading, identify the developer, exact build, supported Android versions, and whether the file comes from the developer’s genuine page. Look for dated POCO X8 Power feedback, not just a generic device list or search snippet.
- Check each camera and basic reliability. Look for reports that the main, ultrawide, and front cameras open and save photos correctly, and note crashes, focus problems, or a required configuration file. Hardware specifications alone do not establish that a port exposes every lens.
- Install only after those checks. Follow the verified developer’s instructions for that build. If installation fails or the app crashes, uninstall it and return to the stock camera rather than changing system properties or rooting the phone based on an unverified snippet.
What to expect from a GCam port
Even when a port opens, features can vary: one lens may be unavailable, processing modes may fail, or the app may save files unreliably. No verified POCO X8 Power configuration or sample set is available to establish which features work or whether images are better than the stock camera. A Snapdragon chipset or a high-resolution sensor is not, by itself, a compatibility result.

If you find multiple builds, compare their developer and base version, supported Android version, lens behavior, stability, configuration requirements, and the date and software version of the user reports. Without comparable handset-specific testing, there is no reliable basis to rank them.
