Where the POCO has the reported advantage
Larger battery and screen
The comparison listings give the POCO an 8,000 mAh battery and a 6.83-inch display, versus 6,000 mAh and 6.67 inches for the Lava. That makes the POCO the more promising fit on paper if battery capacity or a larger viewing area is your priority. Capacity alone does not establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use; no comparable battery test is available here.

More RAM choices and listed storage expansion
The sources list 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants for the POCO, with 128 GB storage, and list expandable storage. They show a 6 GB RAM, 128 GB Lava configuration but do not list storage expansion. Confirm the exact retail SKU and expansion support before relying on either detail.

No official support-policy page is established here, so treat these periods as comparison-site information rather than confirmed manufacturer commitments.

Where the Lava has the reported advantage
Lighter body and curved display
Gadgets Now lists the Lava at 184 g, compared with 225 g for the POCO, a 41 g difference. It also describes the Lava display as curved, while the POCO listing describes a larger AMOLED panel without a curved design. A lighter phone may be easier to handle, but whether a curved screen is preferable is a matter of taste.

Performance, charging, and durability: what the listings do not prove
Chipset names are not a performance verdict
The pages list a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 for the POCO and a Dimensity 7100 for the Lava. Chipset names alone do not establish which phone is faster in real-world use, gaming, or sustained workloads. No validated, comparable performance tests are available in these listings.
Charging and IP ratings need context
Both phones are listed with 45 W charging; Gadgets Now reports a 92-minute full charge for the Lava, but that is a source-reported figure rather than a test conducted for this comparison. The listings also give the POCO an IP65 rating and the Lava IP64. Verify these claims and the applicable protection conditions with the manufacturers before treating them as a basis for purchase.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the POCO M8 Power 5G if you want the larger listed battery and display, or value its reported RAM options, expandable storage, and longer software-support period.
- Consider the Lava Virat Curve 5G if a lighter handset and curved display matter more to you, or if its listed front-camera resolution is a priority.
- Compare live listings before deciding: the reported ₹66 gap is small, but price, stock, SKU, seller, and warranty may differ when you shop.
Neither comparison page establishes an overall winner through controlled testing. If battery life, camera performance, gaming, durability, or long-term update delivery will decide your purchase, seek manufacturer confirmation and independent tests for the exact India variants.
