Add Funds to a PlayStation Wallet: App Voucher and Online Steps

You can redeem a PlayStation Store wallet voucher in the PlayStation App, but Sony’s wallet guide does not document a direct Add Funds payment flow in the app. To add money with a payment method, use PlayStation Store in a browser or top up on a PS5 or PS4. You can check your wallet balance in the app.

Redeem a wallet voucher in the PlayStation App

If you already have a PlayStation Store voucher, you can redeem its code in the app. Use the account you want the credit applied to: voucher funds and content cannot be transferred between accounts.

Open the PlayStation Store in the app.
Tap the menu icon at the top right of the screen.
Choose Redeem Code.
Enter the 12-digit voucher code and tap Continue.
Confirm that the credit was applied to the intended account.

The code must match your PlayStation account’s country or region, and each voucher code can be used once. A wallet top-up voucher for a child account must be redeemed on the family manager’s account. PlayStation Support explains voucher redemption and restrictions.

Add funds with a payment method online

For a card or another available payment method, sign in to PlayStation Store in a browser. Sony also provides top-up steps for PS5 and PS4; the available payment methods and amounts depend on the account’s store country or region.

Sign in to PlayStation Store in a browser.
Open the profile menu.
Select Payment Management > Add Funds.
Choose an available payment method and amount, then select Add Funds.

Check the payment-method list for your store region before retrying a rejected payment. For example, the US accepted-payment-methods page lists options for US accounts; that list does not establish what is accepted in other regions. Sony’s wallet top-up guide covers browser and console steps.

Check your wallet balance in the app

Tap the PlayStation Store icon at the bottom of the app.
Tap the menu icon at the top right.
Choose Payment Methods. The wallet balance appears at the top.

Checking the balance in the app is separate from adding funds with a payment method: Sony documents the app for balance checking and voucher redemption, not a direct payment-based top-up control.

Understand account and wallet limits

Child accounts: A child account does not have its own wallet and cannot add funds. Purchases draw from the family manager’s wallet, subject to a monthly spending limit that defaults to zero.
Payment order: Wallet funds are used first for a purchase. If they do not cover the total, another payment method may cover the remainder.
Refunds: Sony states that funds added to a wallet cannot be refunded.
