There is no verified basis to identify the “new” Android weather app in this headline or to claim that it fixes a Pixel Weather complaint. What is documented is that some users have criticized Pixel Weather’s forecast source and presentation; those reports are not proof of general forecast inaccuracy. If you are considering a switch, compare the features that matter to you and verify them in the app itself.
What Pixel Weather complaints are documented?
Android Authority reported in May 2026 that some Pixel Weather users questioned forecast accuracy and objected to having a single, unchangeable weather source. The article reflects user complaints, not a controlled comparison of forecast performance. One user’s report that a forecast was “off by 10 degrees or so” is an anecdote, not a verified measurement of the app’s accuracy. Android Authority’s report
Presentation can be a separate frustration. A participant in a Google Pixel Community discussion said the 10-day forecast view they valued had disappeared. That describes one person’s experience; it does not establish that the view is unavailable to all Pixel Weather users. Google Pixel Community discussion
Google’s Play listing describes Weather as an app exclusive to Pixel and contains individual reviews mentioning forecasts and location behavior. Reviews can help identify issues to investigate, but they are not representative evidence of how the app performs for all users. Google Play listing for Weather

- Two new cameras for more brilliant photos: A larger telephoto sensor captures 30% more light for clear, beautiful photos and videos, even in the dark[3]; Pixel’s longest zoom ever helps you capture details from impressive distances[4]
How to decide whether another weather app is a better fit
Start with the specific inconvenience you want to solve. If you want more control over forecast inputs, look for explicit settings to select or change data sources. If the problem is how information is presented, check the forecast ranges and views you use, such as hourly and multi-day forecasts. Do not assume an app offers a feature just because a user recommends it.
- Data sources: Can you see which provider supplies forecasts, and can you choose or change it?
- Forecast views: Does the app provide the hourly or multi-day outlook you want?
- Maps: Check whether radar or precipitation maps are available if you rely on them.
- Location: Review location permissions and test whether the app handles your current location as expected.
- Controls: Confirm that widgets and notifications can be configured to your preferences.
- Compatibility and upkeep: Check supported Android versions, device compatibility, and recent update history.
- Privacy and cost: Read the privacy disclosures and check for advertising or charges before making the app your regular source.
- Readability: Make sure the layout and text are easy for you to use.
What is known about the alternative mentioned by users?
A participant in a Pixel discussion recommended Breezy Weather, describing it as offering customizable data sources and widgets. That is a user recommendation, not independent confirmation of current features, availability, compatibility, or suitability. Pixel discussion mentioning Breezy Weather

- Google Pixel 10a is a durable, everyday phone with more[1]; snap brilliant photography on a simple, powerful camera, get 30+ hours out of a full charge[2], and do more with helpful AI like Gemini[3]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan; it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Pixel 10a is sleek and durable, with a super smooth finish, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display, and IP68 water and dust protection[4]
- The Actua display with 3,000-nit peak brightness shows up clear as day, even in direct sunlight[5]
- Plan, create, and get more done with help from Gemini, your built-in AI assistant[3]; have it screen spam calls while you focus[6]; chat with Gemini to brainstorm your meal plan[7], or bring your ideas to life with Nano Banana[8]
Because the app described as “new” in the headline has not been identified, there is no sound basis to say Breezy Weather—or another specific app—is the promised solution. Check the candidate app’s current listing and settings against the criteria above before switching.
Is Google changing how Android users get weather?
In February 2026, Android Authority reported that Google was replacing a full-screen weather report with standard search results for many Android users, while Pixel Weather remained available on Pixel devices at that time. That report does not establish the current rollout status or show that Pixel Weather itself has been discontinued. Android Authority’s report on Google weather results
