Race and class evolution are separate systems in Pixel Lineage. You roll a race in the Castle before choosing a Talent and Base Class. You do not evolve a race through the class tree. Instead, you evolve your chosen Base Class into a Super Class in Act 2 at the Trainer’s Shrine, then pursue an Ultra Class with an Ultra Sigil. Because the game is updated frequently, use the names, passives and requirements currently shown by the Castle, Encyclopedia and shrine screens rather than relying on an old race list.
What “race evolution” means in Pixel Lineage
The title “Ultimate Pixel Lineage” is commonly used in searches, but the Roblox experience identified in the available listing is Pixel Lineage. Roblox describes it as “This is a fast turn-based roguelike RPG game, it is not meant to be easy.” The listing directs players to find basic controls and information in the game itself; it does not publish a complete race roster, race odds, passive-effect list or class tree.
That distinction matters because two different character systems are often mixed together:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Race: a Castle roll made during character creation. It is a passive identity selected before Talent and Base Class.
- Class progression: a Base → Super → Ultra path unlocked through story progression and special interactions. This is the system the guides describe as “evolution.”
No reliable source establishes that a Human, Nightborne or any other race transforms into another race. Unless the live interface adds a race-evolution feature, treat “evolve your race” as shorthand for evolving your class while keeping the race you rolled.

Character-creation order: race first, class second
The race guide places the Castle roll before Talent and Base Class selection. Follow the order shown by the game rather than choosing a class first and trying to retrofit a race later.
- Enter the Castle. Find the race-rolling screen in the Castle area of your current run or character-creation flow.
- Roll Race. Use an available Race spin. The result printed by the game is the authoritative name for your character at that moment.
- Read the live result. Record the exact race name and any passive description displayed in the result or in the in-game Encyclopedia. Do not infer an effect from a community tier list.
- Choose Talent. Continue to the Talent selection after the race step.
- Choose Base Class. Select the starting class that will later determine your Super and Ultra options.
- Start the run and verify the record. Check the character or Encyclopedia page again if the result screen disappears. This catches spelling differences and helps you compare future spins consistently.
A spin changes the race roll; it does not unlock a Super or Ultra branch. Conversely, clearing the required floors for a Super does not reroll your race.
Which Pixel Lineage races are actually named?
A Pixel Lineage Wiki guide, verified October 11, 2026, says recaps claim 13 playable races. That guide names only eight and leaves five unnamed. It also marks the reported passive effects and probabilities as unverified. The following is therefore a recognition list, not an official drop table or a complete catalog.
| Race name appearing in the guide | What is established | What is not established |
|---|---|---|
| Human | The name is listed among the eight named races. | Official passive, rarity and roll probability are not stated. |
| Nightborne | The name is listed among the eight named races. | Official passive, rarity and roll probability are not stated. |
| Seraph | The name is listed among the eight named races. | Official passive, rarity and roll probability are not stated. |
| Tideborn | The name is listed among the eight named races. | Official passive, rarity and roll probability are not stated. |
| Celestine | The name is listed among the eight named races. | Official passive, rarity and roll probability are not stated. |
| Vesper | The name is listed among the eight named races. | Official passive, rarity and roll probability are not stated. |
| Sylvan | The name is listed among the eight named races. | Official passive, rarity and roll probability are not stated. |
| Ashborn | The name is listed among the eight named races. | Official passive, rarity and roll probability are not stated. |
| Five additional races | The same guide says five names are missing from its recap. | The names, effects and probabilities are not published in that source. |
Do not turn the “13” claim into a complete race table. It is a guide-reported count, not an independently verified official statistic. The live Castle and Encyclopedia may contain names that a guide has not recorded, or may change the roster after an update.
How to decide whether to keep a race or spin again
There is no established official “best race.” A sensible decision uses the information your current client actually displays.

- Read the passive, not just the name. If the Castle or Encyclopedia gives a passive description, compare that text with the build you intend to play.
- Match the passive to your Base Class plan. A defensive or resource-oriented passive may be more useful for one class than another, but the guides do not verify a universal ranking.
- Account for your remaining Race spins. A speculative reroll can leave you without the race you already understand. Treat each remaining spin as a limited resource.
- Keep a result when it is useful now. If the displayed passive supports your planned play style, locking it in is more defensible than chasing an unverified rarity label.
- Reroll only with a defined reason. Decide what displayed trait would justify another spin before spending it. This prevents repeated rolls based solely on community claims about “mythic” races.
The phrase “mythic race” appears in player searches, but the available guides do not establish an official mythic category, its members or its odds. Confirm that label in the current game UI before treating it as a gameplay tier.
Race rolls versus class evolution
| System | When it happens | How it changes | Source status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Race | Castle, before Talent and Base Class | Spend a Race spin to roll a passive identity | Sequence described by an unofficial guide; exact roster and effects remain volatile |
| Base Class | After the race and Talent steps | Select your starting combat class | Guides report six Base Classes; the official listing does not document the tree |
| Super Class | Act 2, after clearing Act 1 Floor 10 | Choose one of three branches at the Trainer’s Shrine | Branch-selection process described by an unofficial guide |
| Ultra Class | After Super progression | Use an Ultra Sigil to access the Ultra tier | Requirement described by an unofficial guide; exact acquisition and costs are not stated |
The guides report six Base Classes, three Super branches per Base (18 Super Classes total) and 18 matching Ultra Classes. Those counts are guide-reported details, not official statistics. Most individual branch names are not published in the available class guide, so the shrine’s current options should take precedence.

How to unlock a Super Class
The documented Super path begins with story completion, not with a race rarity. Use this sequence:
- Choose and retain a Base Class. Your Base determines which Super branches the shrine can present later.
- Clear Act 1 Floor 10. The class guide identifies Floor 10 as the gate that must be completed before the next act becomes available. If the game does not mark the requirement complete, revisit the floor result and confirm that the run was recorded as a clear rather than an attempted escape or defeat.
- Reach Act 2. Enter the second act through the normal progression route. The guide does not document an alternate shortcut.
- Vote for the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card. When the Path Card vote appears, select the card that leads to the Trainer’s Shrine. A different card can route the run elsewhere, so read the card text before voting.
- Interact with the Trainer’s Shrine. The shrine is the interaction point for the Super decision. Approach it after the Path Card has taken effect; merely reaching Act 2 does not itself select a branch.
- Compare the three displayed Super options. The guide describes three branches for each Base Class. Use the descriptions currently shown by the shrine, because the published class-name tree is incomplete.
- Select one branch. Confirm the choice only after checking that it matches your current Base and intended play style. The available material does not establish a general respec rule, so assume the choice may matter for the rest of the run unless the UI explicitly offers a reset.
If the shrine does not appear, check the progression in this order: Act 1 Floor 10 completion, successful transition into Act 2, the correct Trainer’s Shrine Path Card vote, and the shrine interaction itself. A race roll cannot substitute for any of these gates.
How to unlock an Ultra Class
Ultra is the tier after Super in the documented progression. The class guide says an Ultra Sigil is required after Super. It does not provide a verified universal location, price, drop rate or number of sigils needed for every branch, so do not rely on a farming route unless the current game explains it.

- Complete the Super decision. Confirm that your character is actually in a Super branch rather than still displaying the Base Class.
- Obtain an Ultra Sigil. Use the acquisition method shown by the current game. If an item tooltip, quest panel or shrine prompt specifies a quantity, follow that live requirement.
- Return to the relevant progression screen. The available guide associates Ultra with the post-Super path but does not establish a single permanent NPC or menu for every update.
- Read the Ultra prompt before confirming. Verify that the offered Ultra belongs to your selected Super branch and that the sigil will be consumed as expected.
- Confirm the upgrade and check your character sheet. Make sure the Ultra name and abilities are recorded before leaving the screen.
Because the guide reports 18 Ultra Classes but does not publish a complete branch roster, the game’s current Ultra prompt is the authoritative source for the exact result.
Choosing among the three Super branches
The safest comparison is made at the Trainer’s Shrine, where the game can show the descriptions that apply to your Base Class. Evaluate each option on the following axes:
- Role: Does the description emphasize damage, defense, control, healing, resources or another role?
- Reliability: Does it improve a result you can use every turn, or depend on a narrow trigger?
- Compatibility: Does it work with the Talent and equipment you already selected?
- Run objective: Are you trying to survive difficult floors, clear encounters quickly or build toward a particular Ultra?
- Displayed follow-up: If the shrine or Encyclopedia previews an Ultra consequence, include that information before confirming.
Do not choose from a memorized list of branch names if the live shrine displays different text. The class guide explicitly warns that its published tree is incomplete, while another player article updated October 9, 2026 also describes six Bases leading to three Super branches each without establishing every branch name.

Expecting a race to become a Super
Symptom: You keep rerolling the Castle because you believe a rare race is required for evolution.
Fix: Treat the Castle result as a passive race selection. Super access is tied to Base Class, Act 1 Floor 10, Act 2, the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card and shrine interaction.

Searching for the shrine before clearing Floor 10
Symptom: Act 2 or the Trainer’s Shrine option is missing.
Fix: Verify that Act 1 Floor 10 was completed successfully on the current character. The documented sequence places that clear before Act 2 and the shrine vote.
Choosing the wrong Path Card
Symptom: You reached Act 2 but cannot find the Trainer’s Shrine.
Fix: Read each card during the vote and select the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card. If the vote has already passed, follow the route available in that run; the guide does not document a guaranteed replacement card.
Using an incomplete race list as an odds table
Symptom: A community chart gives a percentage or passive that does not match your game.

Assuming an Ultra Sigil has a universal farming method
Symptom: A video or post sends you to an item source that is absent in your version.
Fix: Check the current Ultra prompt, item tooltip and quest text. The documented requirement is the sigil itself; a single permanent acquisition route is not established.

The official Roblox listing confirms the game’s identity and broad roguelike format, but not the detailed race or evolution mechanics. The Castle order, race names, class counts and shrine sequence come from unofficial guides and player documentation. They are useful instructions, but they should be checked against the live client after updates.
| Detail | Current guide-based description | How to verify in game |
|---|---|---|
| Race timing | Castle roll before Talent and Base Class | Castle race screen and character-creation order |
| Race count | 13 claimed; eight named and five unnamed in one guide | Live Castle results and Encyclopedia |
| Race effects and odds | Unverified third-party recap claims | Passive text and any displayed probability in the current UI |
| Base count | Six reported | Base Class selection screen |
| Super count | Three branches per Base, 18 reported total | Trainer’s Shrine options for your selected Base |
| Ultra requirement | Ultra Sigil after Super | Ultra prompt, item tooltip and character progression panel |
The Roblox listing showed an update date of October 12, 2026 in search results, and the guide material was checked around October 11–13, 2026. Race rosters, names, passives, branch text and item behavior can change with a later patch, so capture the current wording before spending a limited spin or sigil.
Practical checklist
- Confirm that you are playing the Roblox experience called Pixel Lineage, not assuming “Ultimate Pixel Lineage” is a separate official title.
- Roll Race in the Castle before choosing Talent and Base Class.
- Write down the exact race name and read its live passive in the Encyclopedia.
- Do not treat unverified race odds, “mythic” labels or incomplete lists as official.
- Choose a Base Class with its later branch decision in mind.
- Clear Act 1 Floor 10.
- Reach Act 2 and vote for the Trainer’s Shrine Path Card.
- Interact with the Trainer’s Shrine and compare the three displayed Super branches.
- After Super, obtain the Ultra Sigil required by the current game and verify the Ultra prompt before confirming.
The key decision is not finding a race that “evolves.” Keep or reroll a Castle race based on the passive the game currently shows, then pursue Super and Ultra through the separate class-progression route.
