Pixel Bluetooth diagnostics can help you investigate pairing, car-connection, and audio problems. On Pixel 6 and newer, including Pixel Fold, open Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth diagnostics. The tool guides you through checks; it does not guarantee that every Bluetooth issue can be fixed.
Who can use Pixel Bluetooth diagnostics?
Google lists Bluetooth diagnostics for Pixel 6 and newer, including Fold. If the menu is hard to find, search for “Bluetooth diagnostics” in Settings; labels can vary by software version.
How to run the diagnostic

Open Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth diagnostics.

Choose the connected Bluetooth accessory you want to troubleshoot, if prompted, and follow the checks shown on screen.

Before submitting diagnostic information or an optional bug report, review what will be shared.
What information might be shared?
Google says shared device and Bluetooth diagnostics can include account information, IMEI, phone model, software version, a user session ID, and certain setting states. For a selected accessory, submitted details may include its type, brand, and model; volume settings; connection tests for media audio, hands-free calling, and hearing aid profile; and hardware status. An optional bug report may include a Bluetooth HCI snoop log and unencrypted accessory data. Review the on-screen sharing choices before submitting.

Try the right check for the Bluetooth problem
Accessory not found or pairing fails

Turn Bluetooth off and back on, then check that the accessory is paired and connected.

Restart both the phone and the accessory, then try pairing again.

If you are using Fast Pair and no setup notification appears, look for the device in Settings. Keep the phone within 0.5 m (1.6 ft) of the accessory, turn on Bluetooth and Location, and connect to Wi-Fi or a mobile network. Google notes that not every device can be found and automatically set up.
Car will not pair
Remove the old pairing from both the phone and the car. Refresh the car’s device list, then pair the phone again. Clearing only the phone’s saved connection may leave an outdated entry on the car, so check both sides.

Music plays through the wrong output or not at all
Open the connected device’s Bluetooth settings and confirm that Media audio is enabled. If it is already on, toggle Bluetooth off and on and restart the phone and accessory before testing again.

Calls fail or use the wrong device
Check the connected device’s Bluetooth settings and confirm that Phone audio is enabled. For a car or headset, verify the connection on the accessory as well as on the phone.

If the diagnostics menu is missing
Google’s Pixel support page lists the feature for Pixel 6 and newer, including Fold. If your phone meets that requirement but the menu is not visible, search in Settings for “Bluetooth diagnostics.” For other Android phones, Google’s general Bluetooth troubleshooting steps apply to Android 8.0 and newer; menu names and available features may differ. If those steps do not work on a customized Android version, Google directs users to the device manufacturer.
What the feature can—and cannot—tell you
Bluetooth diagnostics provides a device-level way to investigate a connection problem and run relevant checks. Google does not publish a success rate or promise that diagnostics will fix every issue. A problem may also depend on the car or accessory, so basic pairing and audio checks remain useful even after running the tool.
