No—not in the published head-to-head drain test. Google lists a higher battery-life estimate for the Pixel 11, but Tom’s Guide measured 12 hours 45 minutes for it, compared with 13 hours 13 minutes for the Pixel 10. That 28-minute result favors the older phone in that test; it does not predict how long every person’s phone will last day to day.
What the battery-life comparison shows
The apparent contradiction comes from comparing two different kinds of evidence: Google’s advertised mixed-use estimates and Tom’s Guide’s battery-drain test.
| Measure | Pixel 11 | Pixel 10 | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google’s advertised battery life | 30+ hours | 24+ hours | Manufacturer estimates, not results from a matched continuous-drain test. Google’s Pixel phone specifications describe battery life as dependent on usage and features. |
| Typical battery capacity | 4,985 mAh | 4,970 mAh | The nominal difference is 15 mAh; capacity alone does not establish which phone lasts longer. Google’s specifications. |
| Battery-drain test | 12 hours 45 minutes | 13 hours 13 minutes | Pixel 10 ran 28 minutes longer in Tom’s Guide’s reported comparison. Tom’s Guide’s Pixel 11 review. |
| Listed wired charging | 30W | 30W | No listed wattage advantage for either phone in this comparison. Tom’s Guide. |
| Charge after 30 minutes | 52% | 52% | Tom’s Guide reports the same result for both phones in its comparison. Tom’s Guide. |
Why Google’s estimate and the test differ
Google’s 30+ hours for the Pixel 11 and 24+ hours for the Pixel 10 are manufacturer estimates based on a median user profile mixing activities such as talk, data, standby and other feature use. Google cautions that battery life varies with many factors, that some features reduce it, and that actual battery life may be lower. Its figures should not be read as results from the same continuous-drain procedure used by a reviewer.
A battery-drain test answers a narrower question: how long a phone lasted under that publication’s test conditions. Tom’s Guide reported the Pixel 11 at 12:45 and Pixel 10 at 13:13. That is evidence about this comparison, not a guarantee for every device or a prediction of an individual’s daily screen time, signal strength, settings or workload.

Does the Pixel 11’s larger battery explain better endurance?
Google lists typical capacities of 4,985 mAh for the Pixel 11 and 4,970 mAh for the Pixel 10, a 15 mAh difference. That small nominal increase does not establish a meaningful runtime gain: capacity is only one factor in battery life, and the cited test did not show the Pixel 11 lasting longer.
Does the Pixel 11 charge faster?
Not according to the listed results in Tom’s Guide’s comparison. Both phones are shown with 30W wired charging, and each reached 52% after 30 minutes in the publication’s reported test. Those figures do not indicate a charging-speed advantage for the Pixel 11 in this comparison.

Should you upgrade for battery life?
If your main reason to switch is getting longer time between charges, the available evidence does not demonstrate that the Pixel 11 is an endurance upgrade over the Pixel 10. Google’s headline estimate is higher, but the reported head-to-head drain result slightly favors the Pixel 10. Treat that as one publication’s test outcome, not a universal verdict on how either phone will perform in your routine.
For someone whose Pixel 10 already meets their needs, this comparison alone is not a strong reason to upgrade. If considering a Pixel 11 for other features, weigh those separately rather than assuming its advertised battery figure means it will last longer in everyday use.
