The Google Pixel 11 Pro is available, and it pairs a 6.3-inch display with flagship Pro features in a smaller body than the Pixel 11 Pro XL. Google’s specifications make it a compelling compact option on paper; early hands-on coverage and two week-long reviews offer a more mixed picture of its AI features, memory, battery and charging. Here’s what is confirmed, what reviewers observed, and what to weigh before buying.
Availability, price and configurations
Google announced that the Pixel 11 phones were on shelves on August 25, 2026, through the Google Store and retail partners. Its launch announcement listed a US starting price of $1,099 for the Pixel 11 Pro. These are launch-era prices, not a guarantee of today’s offer or stock. Google’s availability announcement is the place to check current terms.
TechRadar reported an official launch date of August 20 and these configuration prices:

Regional prices and promotions can change, so confirm the live price where you plan to buy. The two configurations differ in memory as well as storage: the 512GB unit reviewed by TechRadar had 16GB RAM, while the 256GB model has 12GB. That distinction matters when interpreting its performance impressions.

What the smaller Pro offers
Google lists a 6.3-inch (161 mm) Super Actua LTPO OLED display at 1280 × 2856 resolution and 495 pixels per inch, with a 1–120 Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover glass. Google’s specifications state up to 2,400 nits HDR brightness and up to 3,600 nits peak brightness; those are manufacturer figures, not independent measurements. Google’s Pixel hardware specifications provide the official details.
The phone measures 152.7 × 71.9 × 8.4 mm and weighs 204 g, according to Google. The Pro XL has a larger 6.8-inch screen. The choice is therefore chiefly about the size and handling you prefer: the Pro is the smaller option, while the XL gives more screen area. The XL’s weight and full dimensions are not stated in the cited specifications, so this is not a complete size comparison.

Battery and charging: manufacturer figures versus review experience
Google lists a typical battery capacity of 4,850 mAh, with a minimum of 4,707 mAh, and estimates 30+ hours of battery life. The runtime is Google’s estimate, not an independent test result. Google’s specifications do not establish how long a particular person’s phone will last.

TechRadar’s reviewer said the phone generally lasted through the day in their use and reported a positive battery experience. Android Central criticized the battery and charging, describing them as shortcomings relative to what buyers might expect at this price. These are reviewers’ judgments, not equivalent standardized battery results. TechRadar also reported charging-test results and a test setup, but those figures should be read with its methodology rather than generalized to every charger or usage pattern.

Brief launch-event hands-on
Victor Abarca’s August 12, 2026, hands-on coverage of the Pixel 11 family discussed the Pro’s design, display, cameras, 120× zoom, creator tools, battery and Tensor G6. It is a launch-event first impression, not a week-long independent test. Abarca also flagged reliance on cloud processing as a caveat for some of the phone’s capabilities. TechRadar’s week-long review
TechRadar’s reviewer reported smooth everyday use and no daily-performance issues over a week, as well as battery life that generally lasted through the day in their use. The tested phone was the 512GB configuration with 16GB RAM. That experience does not directly establish how the 256GB model with 12GB RAM performs, especially under demanding workloads.

Android Central’s counterpoint
Android Central took a more critical view, pointing to less base RAM, a smaller battery and slower charging while adding AI features. It also criticized the duration of the bundled Gemini Pro service period compared with the previous offer. These are the publication’s assessments; subscription terms can change, so check the offer shown at purchase rather than assuming a particular service period.
Pixel 11 Pro or Pixel 11 Pro XL?
Google’s launch-era US starting prices put the Pro at $1,099 and the Pro XL at $1,299. The XL costs $200 more at those starting prices and has a 6.8-inch display instead of the Pro’s 6.3-inch panel. The launch announcement’s prices are not necessarily current offers. Check Google Store availability and pricing before deciding.

The cited material does not provide a full XL weight-and-dimensions comparison or controlled tests showing a performance or battery advantage for either size. Those should not be inferred from screen size alone.
Is the Pixel 11 Pro worth considering?
The strongest case is for someone who wants a smaller flagship with a high-refresh-rate display and values Google’s camera and AI features. The main cautions are that reviewers disagree on battery and charging, the base configuration has 12GB rather than 16GB RAM, and some discussed AI capabilities rely on cloud processing. At $1,099 launch pricing, compare the live price and the exact configuration with other flagship phones, focusing on everyday speed and demanding-task performance, camera and zoom results, battery runtime and charging, software and AI features, and price. The cited reviews do not provide a like-for-like comparison that establishes a category winner.
