The October 11, 2026 report said Pieology had 27 locations in four states and Guam as of October 9, 2026. The report said it based that count on the company’s website. It did not provide a reconciled location list, so the figure should be treated as a reported snapshot rather than an independently verified count of restaurants open for regular service.
For a specific restaurant, use Pieology’s official website and its location-specific information. The company says its locations are independently owned and operated, and local listings are the practical way to check availability, hours, and other details before visiting.

The historical figures are secondary-source counts cited in that report, not a separately audited series. The sequence indicates that the footprint was shrinking well before the 2025 bankruptcy filing; it does not establish that bankruptcy caused every closure.
What the bankruptcy filing tells us—and what it does not
Little Brown Box Pizza LLC, Pieology’s parent, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on December 8, 2025, when the chain reportedly had 45 restaurants. Chapter 11 is a court-supervised restructuring process. The filing is an important date in the company’s contraction, but the reported counts show that closures had occurred in earlier years too. The figures alone do not explain why each restaurant closed or establish a single cause for the chain’s decline.

What happened to the Folsom, California location?
The October 11 report described a recent closure in Folsom and attributed the franchisee’s decision not to renew its lease to information Pappas Investments leasing executive Kelly Rule gave the Sacramento Bee. The report also said Pieology retained two nearby Sacramento-area locations. This is a local lease-related account, not evidence that all Pieology closures had the same explanation.
