Several phones are listed below ₹20,000 in India under the category “waterproof mobile phones,” including the realme P3, vivo T4X and Moto G86 Power. That label is not a promise that a phone can survive any spill or immersion: confirm the official IP rating for the exact India model and variant, then check its warranty terms and live price before buying.
Phones listed under ₹20,000
MySmartPrice’s category list, updated October 7, 2026, shows these examples below ₹20,000. It describes the prices as the lowest found across stores, including bill and warranty; prices may vary by store and location. Treat them as observed listings, not guaranteed offers, and verify the configuration and seller.
| Phone | Listed price |
|---|---|
| realme P3 | ₹15,999 |
| vivo T4X | ₹16,999 |
| Moto G86 Power | ₹17,835 |
| Samsung Galaxy A35 5G | ₹18,999 |
| Motorola Edge 50 Fusion | ₹18,999 |
| vivo Y31 5G | ₹19,999 |
These are category-list prices, not a verified live quote for a particular RAM and storage configuration. The MySmartPrice list and 91mobiles category page help identify candidates, but neither establishes the official water-resistance rating for every India variant. The 91mobiles page also lists the realme P3, vivo T4X, Moto G86 Power, Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and vivo Y31 5G at the same prices shown above.
What “waterproof” means—and what it does not
“Waterproof” is the comparison pages’ category wording. It does not, by itself, prove that a phone has a particular IP rating or guarantee that it will remain undamaged after water exposure. Water resistance is conditional and depends on the specific device and its rating.

Samsung India’s guidance for applicable Galaxy phones gives examples of IPX7 and IPX8 test conditions: IPX7 means 30 minutes at a depth of 1 metre, while IPX8 means 30 minutes at 1.5 metres. Samsung cautions that resistance is not guaranteed beyond the stated depth or duration, or under high water pressure. Those conditions are Samsung’s guidance for applicable Galaxy devices—not a universal standard for every phone in this list. See Samsung India’s water-resistance guidance, last updated September 11, 2026.
A stated test depth and duration should not be treated as permission to swim with a phone or expose it to seawater, hot water, high-pressure jets or repeated water contact. The available manufacturer guidance here is Samsung-specific, so it cannot substantiate the other brands’ claims.

How to check a phone before buying
- Identify the exact India variant. Match the model name and RAM/storage configuration on the seller’s listing with the manufacturer’s India product information. A category label or a similar model name is not enough to establish a rating.
- Verify the manufacturer-published IP rating. Find the rating for that precise model and variant in an official manufacturer source. If you cannot confirm it there, do not assume the phone is water-resistant based on its appearance in a category list.
- Read the warranty and liquid-damage terms. An IP rating describes specified resistance conditions; it does not, on its own, establish what damage the warranty covers. Check the manufacturer’s terms for the exact phone.
- Refresh the price and seller. Compare the live price for the configuration you want and confirm the seller, bill and warranty details. The listed prices can vary by store and location.
- Compare the rest of the phone for your needs. Once rating and price are verified, consider performance, storage, display, battery and charging, camera, and software support. The category listings do not provide evidence for a tested overall ranking.
Choosing among the listed options
The price list can narrow a search, but it is not enough to name a best buy for water resistance. First verify the exact model’s official rating and liquid-damage warranty terms, then compare the actual variant price. Choose between candidates based on the other features you need; the available category listings do not establish a model-by-model rating comparison or a tested performance ranking.
