The catch is platform availability: the confirmed launch platforms for Phantom Blade Zero are PlayStation 5 and PC. The sources reviewed do not establish an Xbox or Nintendo Switch 2 launch version. S-GAME lists the release for October 29, 2026, while the PlayStation Blog and Steam show October 28 for the US and select regions.
Which platforms will Phantom Blade Zero be on at launch?
S-GAME’s official site and the developer-authored PlayStation Blog post identify PlayStation 5 as the console platform. The game is also listed for PC on Steam. The reviewed sources do not establish an Xbox or Nintendo Switch 2 launch edition, so do not count on either console as a way to play at launch.

When does Phantom Blade Zero release?
S-GAME’s official site lists October 29, 2026. In a post dated August 17, 2026, S-GAME founder and CEO Soulframe Liang says October 28 applies in the US and select regions; Steam also lists October 28. These dates describe a regional release-date difference, not two separate launches. Check the store for your region’s local date.

What kind of game is it?
Phantom Blade Zero is an action role-playing game set in the Wulin, a dark wuxia world shaped by conflict and intrigue. You play Soul, a warrior framed for murdering his master. A wound leaves him with 66 days to live as he tries to uncover a conspiracy while being pursued. The PlayStation Blog says citizens’ side quests can open story paths and add context to the world.
How do combat and difficulty work?
S-GAME describes a customizable combat system built around more than 30 main weapons and 25 secondary weapons called Phantom Edges. Weapons can be upgraded and paired with accessories, and summons can assist in battle. The developer also says upgraded weapons can be reforged so materials can be reinvested in another build.

S-GAME’s PlayStation Blog post also says Donnie Yen served as creative consultant and performed facial and motion capture for Mó Yuan; it does not describe him as the game’s director.
