Pergear announced its 10mm f/5.6 II pancake fisheye on October 10, 2026, with an advertised price of $69—not the $66 in the original headline. The all-manual lens is specified for a 172° angle of view and weighs about 120g without caps. Its announcement names Fuji X, Micro Four Thirds, Sony E and Canon EOS-M mounts, but gives conflicting information about other mount options, so confirm the exact version before buying.
What the Pergear 10mm f/5.6 II offers
Pergear describes the II as an upgraded version of its pancake fisheye. Its published specifications are:
| Specification | Pergear’s published figure |
|---|---|
| Focal length | 10mm |
| Maximum aperture | f/5.6 |
| Angle of view | 172° |
| Optical construction | Six elements in five groups |
| Minimum focus distance | Approximately 15cm |
| Dimensions | 50mm diameter by 32mm |
| Weight | Approximately 120g without caps |
| Focus | Manual |
These are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured results. The lens has a fixed f/5.6 maximum aperture; the announcement does not establish autofocus or variable-aperture operation. Pergear also describes a full-metal body, built-in petal-shaped hood and improved multi-layer coating.

Pergear’s October 10, 2026 announcement advertises the 10mm f/5.6 II at $69. It does not substantiate the $66 figure in the supplied headline. Treat $69 as the announcement price rather than a guaranteed current checkout price: mount, region and subsequent pricing may affect what a buyer sees.

Pergear’s accessible product page is for a 10mm F5.6 lens without a Version II label. Its displayed price varies between $69 and $89 depending on the listing view, so it does not verify the II’s availability or current price.
Check the mount and camera format before buying
The announcement’s opening names Fuji X, Micro Four Thirds, Sony E and Canon EOS-M. Elsewhere on the same page, Pergear lists “X/E/Z/RF/EOS-M and M4/3,” creating uncertainty about Z and RF availability. Verify the exact mount and lens version with Pergear before ordering, especially if you use a Z- or RF-mount body.

Pergear says full-frame cameras should be switched to APS-C mode. It lists equivalent focal lengths of 15mm for E/X/Z and 20mm for Micro Four Thirds. Those are the manufacturer’s stated equivalences for the formats it identifies; they should not be applied to every sensor format or mistaken for a rectilinear field of view. A fisheye’s very wide view is intentionally curved rather than straight-lined like a rectilinear lens.
Manual focus requires a camera setting
Pergear says to enable “Shoot without lens” in the camera settings before shooting. This setting allows a camera to take a picture when it does not electronically recognize a lens. The precise menu location varies by camera body; consult the camera’s manual if the option is not obvious. Because focusing is manual, you set focus on the lens rather than relying on autofocus.

What is—and is not—known about image quality
Pergear’s 2021 summary of its earlier 10mm F5.6 mentions a small, inexpensive lens and notes edge distortion and flare. That summary concerns the earlier version, not an independent test of the 10mm f/5.6 II. It does not establish how the II performs, whether its coating changes flare behavior, or how its image quality compares with other fisheye lenses.
