PEAK is in development for consoles, including a planned PS5 version, but it is not available on PS5 yet and Landfall has announced no release date. The developer says console players will be able to join the existing Steam community and players on other console platforms through cross-platform multiplayer.
What Landfall has confirmed
Landfall’s current official FAQ says, “We are currently working on bringing the game to consoles!” It also promises that console buyers will be able to play with the existing Steam community and with players on other console platforms. The statement does not name specific consoles, provide a launch window, explain regional availability, or confirm whether saved progress will transfer between platforms.
That makes a PS5 version a confirmed work in progress rather than a released product. Landfall has not announced a PS5 date, and the PlayStation Store search results reviewed for this article did not show an official PEAK listing. Store results can vary by country and change as pages are indexed, so the safest conclusion is that there is no publicly confirmed PS5 launch to buy or download yet.
What PEAK is
PEAK is a cooperative climbing game developed by Landfall and Aggro Crab. It launched on Steam on June 16, 2025. Landfall describes it as a game “where the slightest mistake can spell your doom,” which reflects its central risk-reward design: players climb hazardous routes while managing movement, resources and the consequences of a fall.

The Steam version can be played solo. Its original multiplayer supports a group of up to four players: one host can invite as many as three Steam friends, and proximity chat lets voices become quieter as teammates move farther away. Those details describe the existing Steam edition; Landfall has not said that every multiplayer or communication feature will be identical on consoles.
Will PS5 players be able to play with PC users?
Yes, cross-platform play is part of Landfall’s stated console plan. The FAQ says console players will be able to play with the existing Steam community and with players on other console platforms. However, the studio has not published the implementation details yet.

Details that remain unknown
- Whether PS5 and other console players will share the same four-player limit as the Steam version.
- Whether proximity chat will work exactly as it does on PC.
- Whether cross-play will be enabled by default or controlled through an in-game setting.
- Whether accounts, unlocks or other progress will carry between Steam and consoles.
- Whether console versions will launch simultaneously across regions and platforms.
Until Landfall publishes those specifications, cross-play should be treated as a developer promise, not as a feature that can be tested on PS5 today.

Is PEAK on PlayStation yet?
There is no confirmed PS5 edition available at the time of writing. The reviewed PlayStation Store results did not surface an official PEAK page, and no PS5 release date appears in Landfall’s FAQ. Do not confuse PEAK with other Landfall games that may already appear on PlayStation, or with unofficial titles using similar names and imagery.

If you see a store page claiming to sell a PS5 version before an announcement from Landfall or an official PlayStation listing, verify the publisher and product name carefully. A controller accessory or PlayStation controller support on the Steam version is not evidence that the game itself has launched on PS5.
When could the PS5 version release?
Landfall has not supplied a date, month, year or launch window. Any specific prediction would be speculation. The only reliable timing statement is that console development is underway.

The studio’s update policy provides useful context. Landfall says the Citadel and Gloom biomes were PEAK’s final major update. The game is not intended to operate as a live-service title, but bug fixes and maintenance will continue until the developers are satisfied with its stability. That means console work is proceeding after the final planned major content update, although the maintenance status does not establish how close the PS5 port is to release.

What to compare when a PS5 announcement arrives
A proper PS5 comparison will require more than checking whether the title appears in the store. Look for these points in Landfall’s launch announcement and the regional PlayStation listing:

What prospective PS5 players should do now
- Check Landfall’s official FAQ and announcement channels for the first date-specific console announcement.
- Use the official PlayStation Store listing for your region once one appears; do not rely on third-party pages or similarly named products.
- Review the cross-play and cross-save terms before buying on another platform if you want to move progress later.
- Expect ongoing bug fixes and maintenance after launch, because Landfall says PEAK is not planned as a live-service game with continuing major content updates.
For now, the Steam release remains the only confirmed version. The PS5 port is real and cross-platform multiplayer is promised, but availability, pricing, system requirements and the launch date are still unannounced.

Bottom line: PEAK is coming to consoles and is planned to support cross-play with Steam, but Landfall has not announced a PS5 release date or listed an official PS5 edition for sale.
