Yes. AirPods connect to Android over Bluetooth for listening and phone calls, but Siri is not available. The pairing gesture depends on the AirPods model: some use a button on the back of the case, newer listed models use a double-tap on the case front, and AirPods Max uses its listening-mode button.
How to pair AirPods with an Android phone

Turn on Bluetooth on your Android phone. Apple’s example path is Settings > Connections > Bluetooth; menu names may differ by phone manufacturer.

For AirPods that use a charging case, place both earbuds inside and open the lid.

Put your model into pairing mode using the matching instruction below. Look for the case or headphones’ status light to flash white.

When the AirPods appear in Android’s Bluetooth device list, tap their name to connect.
AirPods 1, 2, or 3 and AirPods Pro 1 or 2
With the earbuds in the open case, press and hold the setup button on the back for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white.
AirPods 4 or 5 and AirPods Pro 3
With the earbuds inside the open case, hold the case near the phone and double-tap the front of the case until the status light flashes white.

AirPods Max
Press and hold the listening-mode button for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white. Then select AirPods Max from the Android Bluetooth device list.
What works—and what does not—on Android
Apple describes AirPods as usable with non-Apple devices as a Bluetooth headset: you can listen and talk, but you cannot use Siri. Pairing does not mean that the experience is identical to using AirPods with Apple devices. Apple’s non-Apple pairing instructions do not provide a complete Android feature matrix, so model-specific features should not be assumed to work the same way.
If AirPods do not appear in Bluetooth

Check charge. Confirm the earbuds and case have power. If no status light appears, Apple says the AirPods may need charging.

Repeat the model-specific pairing gesture. Make sure the status light flashes white; the rear setup button is not the pairing instruction for every generation.

Check the case’s charging connector. Apple documents Lightning or USB-C cables depending on the case model, so identify the connector before choosing a cable. A green case light means fully charged; amber means less than one full charge remains.

Return to Android’s Bluetooth device list. Once pairing mode is active, look for the AirPods there and select them.

Apple’s instructions for setting up replacement AirPods or a replacement case cover a replacement-specific process; resetting is not presented as a normal requirement for pairing AirPods with Android.
Does “affordable AirPods” identify a particular model?
No. “Affordable” does not specify a generation, budget, or country, and the official setup and charging guidance does not establish a current cheapest model or local price ranking. Choose instructions by the model name and generation, not by a price label. The charging connector also varies by case, so identify the case before buying a cable.
