Overwatch Mythic weapons are hero-specific cosmetic weapon skins with their own visual and sound effects. Blizzard says you can equip one with any skin for its matching hero. The verified roster below includes seven weapons named in official Blizzard announcements through October 7, 2026; check the in-game Mythic Shop for newer releases and current availability.
All verified Overwatch Mythic weapons
Blizzard announces Mythic weapons season by season rather than maintaining a single exhaustive public list. These are the weapons named in the official announcements reviewed through October 7, 2026—not a guarantee that the game has no others.
| Hero | Mythic weapon | Documented features |

| Reinhardt | Bound Demon | Combat-reactive effects; a base unlock and three additional effect levels. |
| Cassidy | Blazing Sunsetter | Named as a Season 18 Mythic weapon option. |

How to unlock a Mythic weapon
- Open the Mythic Shop in Overwatch. Select the specific Mythic weapon you want. Blizzard introduced the shop so players could choose Mythic cosmetics rather than receive only the season’s featured cosmetic; see its Mythic Shop explainer.
- Get Mythic Prisms. Blizzard says Prisms can be earned through the Premium Battle Pass, and additional Prisms can be purchased through the in-game flow. Offers and details can change, so check the current client and platform store.
- Unlock the base weapon, then any levels you want. Blizzard’s Season 11 guidance gave the Bound Demon base a price of 50 Mythic Prisms and each of up to three additional levels a price of 10 Prisms. Treat those figures as historical guidance, not a guaranteed current price: use the selected item’s current shop listing as the authority. The original guidance is in Blizzard’s Bound Demon announcement.
- Equip it on its matching hero. The weapon is specific to that hero, but Blizzard says it can be paired with any skin for that same hero.
What the levels and effects add
Weapon levels are not identical across the roster. Blizzard’s announcements describe different combinations of reactive effects, flourish animations, sound, user-interface changes, and elimination visuals. For example, Genji’s Sumi-ichimonji includes reactive ink effects and a kill visual; Sojourn’s Eternal Crystal includes a final-blow effect; and Lúcio’s Treblemaker changes audio and includes a reactive UI. Check the shop’s level details for the particular weapon before spending Prisms.

Can Mythic weapons be used with other hero skins?
Yes. Blizzard says a Mythic weapon can be equipped with any skin for its matching hero. It does not transfer to another hero.
Do Mythic Vouchers unlock weapons?
Blizzard Support’s 2026 Mythic Voucher article describes eligibility for a specific Mythic skin from each past Season 1–14. It does not explicitly establish that Mythic weapons are eligible, so do not assume a voucher can unlock one. The article also says that owning all eligible skins converts the voucher to 50 Mythic Prisms later; see Blizzard Support’s Mythic Voucher information.

Choosing between weapons
Compare the hero you play, the current total Prism cost displayed in the shop, and what each weapon’s levels actually add. Reactive behavior, sounds, flourish animations, and elimination effects differ by item; the number of levels alone does not establish which weapon offers the effects you prefer.
