The Oricom AP8030 is a compact air purifier specified by Oricom for rooms of 10–15 m². It offers three filter stages, four fan speeds, a sleep mode and simple timers. The main ownership question is its recurring filter replacement: the set is not washable, and the guide estimates replacement about every six to 12 months depending on daily use. Check the cost and availability of replacement filter 2B0136 before buying.
What the AP8030 offers
The AP8030 is an upright purifier measuring 200.5 × 200.5 × 327 mm and weighing 2.73 kg, according to the Oricom user guide. Its small footprint may suit a bedroom, study or other compact space, but its stated room coverage is 10–15 m². Treat that as the manufacturer’s suitability claim, not a guarantee of air-cleaning performance in a particular room.
The guide lists power consumption at 45 W and noise across a 30–55 dB range. It does not provide noise figures for individual fan speeds. The material available also does not establish a CADR rating or independent laboratory results, so those specifications alone cannot show how quickly the purifier will clean a room.

Oricom describes a three-stage filter set. The functions below are those assigned by the guide; they are not independent test results.

If you are specifically checking whether the replacement contains all three stages, confirm that the replacement is the complete filter set for part number 2B0136. The guide identifies that replacement part and describes the purifier’s three-stage set.
Controls, fan speeds and sleep mode
The AP8030 has low, medium, high and turbo fan settings. Its timer can be set for 2, 4 or 8 hours, or the purifier can run continuously. Sleep mode switches the fan to low and dims the indicators. The light/sleep control also operates the night light.

These are straightforward controls for timed or overnight use. The guide’s overall 30–55 dB noise range does not indicate how loud each setting is, so it is not enough to predict the sound level you will hear in your room.

The filter set is not washable. Oricom’s guide advises vacuum-cleaning it once a month and estimates filter life at about six months with 24-hour daily use, or about 12 months with 12-hour daily use. These are approximate intervals; dust levels and other conditions can affect how often replacement is needed.

- Once a month, vacuum-clean the filter set as directed in the user guide.
- When a replacement is due, look for Oricom filter part number 2B0136. The guide says replacement filters can be purchased from Oricom.
- Check current stock and price before purchase. One ProductReview user reported difficulty finding the filter and said it was frequently out of stock; that is one dated customer report, not a reliable picture of current availability.

The AP8030 is a plausible fit if you want a small purifier for a room within Oricom’s stated 10–15 m² range, value basic timers and sleep mode, and are prepared for recurring filter replacement. Before choosing it, compare the coverage claim with the room you intend to use it in and confirm that replacement filter 2B0136 is available at a price you are comfortable paying.

If you need to compare air-cleaning performance rather than footprint and controls, look for independent clean-air delivery data, noise measurements by fan speed, and replacement-filter cost and availability. Those details are not established by the AP8030 specifications cited here.
