For buyers in India, the OPPO Reno16 5G costs ₹13,000 more than the Reno16c 5G when you compare matching 256GB configurations. That premium buys a 50MP ultra-wide camera, 4K/60fps rear video, a sharper and brighter display, LPDDR5X memory and an infrared remote. The Reno16c costs less and has a larger 7000mAh battery, expandable storage and the same listed 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera and 80W charging.
This comparison covers the India models CPH2865 (Reno16) and CPH2859 (Reno16c). OPPO says specifications can vary by country, so confirm the model number and local listing before buying. OPPO Reno16 5G: Price & Details

OPPO’s India product-details pages show the prices below on different dates: Reno16 prices were stated as correct on 31 August 2026, and Reno16c prices on 9 September 2026. OPPO says prices may change, so treat these as dated listed prices and check the live store listing before purchase.
| Model | RAM and storage | OPPO India listed price | Price date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reno16 5G | 8GB + 256GB | ₹66,999 | 31 August 2026 |

For a like-for-like storage comparison, both 8GB + 256GB models differ by ₹13,000; their 12GB + 256GB versions also differ by ₹13,000. The Reno16 has no 128GB configuration listed in OPPO’s comparison.

Which model is better for cameras and the display?
Reno16: stronger listed ultra-wide and video specifications
The Reno16 has a 50MP ultra-wide camera, compared with the Reno16c’s 8MP ultra-wide; both are listed with a 116° field of view. The Reno16 also supports rear 4K recording at 60fps, while the Reno16c is listed for 4K at 30fps. These figures describe the camera specifications, not measured photo quality or a guarantee that one phone will produce better results in every scene.
Both phones list a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, so that specification alone does not distinguish them.

Reno16: more pixels and higher listed brightness
Both screens are 120Hz AMOLED, but the Reno16’s 16.05cm display has a 2640 × 1216 resolution, 460 PPI and 1800-nit HBM brightness. The Reno16c’s slightly larger 16.69cm screen is 2372 × 1080, 397 PPI and 1400-nit HBM. The Reno16 is the sharper and higher-brightness option on paper; the Reno16c offers more screen area.
Does the Reno16c have expandable storage?
Yes. OPPO lists storage-card support for the Reno16c and no storage-card support for the Reno16. That gives the Reno16c an expansion option in addition to its listed 128GB and 256GB configurations. Both phones also have a 12GB + 256GB configuration.

Which phone has the better battery?
The Reno16c has the larger rated capacity at 7000mAh, versus 6700mAh for the Reno16. Both list 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Capacity alone does not establish real-world battery life: usage and other conditions affect how long either phone lasts, and the listed figures are not independent endurance-test results.
Which OPPO Reno16 should you buy?
Choose the Reno16 if these specifications matter most
- A 50MP ultra-wide camera rather than an 8MP ultra-wide.
- Rear 4K recording at 60fps rather than 30fps.
- A higher-resolution, higher-brightness display.
- LPDDR5X memory or an infrared remote.
Choose the Reno16c if these priorities matter most
- A lower listed price, including a 128GB entry configuration.
- A larger 7000mAh rated battery capacity.
- Storage-card expansion.
- A slightly larger display and the same listed 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera and 80W charging.
Do not treat the memory type or camera specifications as proof of faster everyday performance or better real-world photos; the comparison provides manufacturer specifications rather than independent tests. OPPO also notes on the Reno16c product page that AI features described there may not be included in the software version at launch, so check the current software and regional version for feature availability.
