OPPO’s published India prices for the Reno16 5G are ₹66,999 for 8GB RAM and ₹72,999 for 12GB RAM, both with 256GB storage. Those prices were stated as correct on 31 August 2026, not confirmed as current on 4 October. The Reno16’s headline features are a 120Hz AMOLED display, three 50MP rear cameras including a 3.5x optical telephoto, a 6,700mAh typical-capacity battery and 80W charging. Its India model number is CPH2865.
OPPO Reno16 5G price in India and availability
OPPO lists the following India prices, including applicable taxes. The manufacturer says the figures were correct as of 31 August 2026 and may change.

OPPO announced the phone in India on 2 July 2026 and says it is sold through authorized retail partners and offline stores. However, OPPO’s store page showed “Open Sale on Oct.11 at 12:00PM” when checked on 7 October, while its details page used language indicating availability. That discrepancy means the announcement date should not be treated as proof of current stock or sale status. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. In particular, a published peak brightness figure, camera capability or water-resistance rating does not establish how the phone performs in every situation or make it immune to damage.

What the display, cameras and battery mean in practice
Display
The 2640 × 1216 resolution and 460 PPI make the display a high-resolution panel for its listed 16.05cm size. Its refresh rate reaches 120Hz, which can make supported animations and scrolling appear smoother; the actual refresh rate depends on usage and settings. OPPO’s 1,800-nit figure is for HBM, while 600 nits is its typical normal-brightness figure, so they describe different conditions.

Camera system
Unlike a setup that relies on one high-resolution main camera and digital cropping, OPPO lists three separate 50MP rear cameras: ultra-wide, main and telephoto. The 3.5x optical zoom is the telephoto camera’s optical reach; OPPO separately lists digital zoom up to 18x. The manufacturer’s 4K/60fps HDR claims apply to rear video, including all three rear focal lengths according to its launch announcement. No independent image-quality or stabilization test is established here.

Battery and charging
The 6,700mAh figure is the typical capacity; OPPO also states a rated capacity of 6,490mAh. The phone supports 80W SUPERVOOC charging, and OPPO lists a charger in the box, so the listed package does not require buying a charger separately. Actual battery life and charging time depend on use and conditions; no independent test figure is available here.
Reno16 5G vs Reno16c 5G: key differences
OPPO’s India comparison highlights the Reno16c 5G as a less expensive sibling, with a different processor, smaller ultra-wide camera specification, lower rear-video frame rate and larger listed battery. Prices and features below are manufacturer-listed; the Reno16c starting price is likewise time-sensitive.

Choose between them based on the features you will use, not just the battery-capacity figure: OPPO lists the Reno16c with a larger battery, while the Reno16 has the higher-resolution, brighter display, faster memory, a 50MP ultra-wide and 4K/60fps rear video. If these camera and display upgrades are not priorities, the Reno16c’s listed starting price is lower; confirm current prices for both before deciding. OPPO India comparison and specifications

India-specific limitations and buying details
- No microSD card slot: both listed Reno16 configurations have 256GB storage, with no card expansion. Choose the RAM configuration based on your needs; the higher-priced one does not add storage.
- No NFC or eSIM: OPPO lists neither feature for this India model. If you depend on tap-to-pay or eSIM service, confirm compatibility needs before purchase.
- Network support: the listed bands do not guarantee service on every network. 5G availability and performance depend on carrier coverage and deployment.
- Water resistance: IP ratings are manufacturer-declared certifications, not a promise against all liquid or dust damage. Treat the phone carefully around water and follow OPPO’s warranty and care terms.
- Box contents: OPPO lists the handset, charger, USB data cable, SIM ejector tool, protective case and quick guide. It notes contents may vary by market.
- Warranty extras: OPPO’s details page listed optional one-year accident protection for ₹6,999 as of 31 August 2026. Check the current price, coverage and conditions rather than assuming they remain unchanged.
Is the OPPO Reno16 5G worth buying?
The Reno16 5G is most compelling for someone who values a high-resolution 120Hz AMOLED display, three distinct 50MP rear cameras with optical telephoto, and manufacturer-listed 4K/60fps HDR recording. The 6,700mAh typical battery, 80W charging and included charger round out its listed hardware. At the same time, it costs substantially more than OPPO’s dated Reno16c starting price, has no NFC, eSIM or microSD expansion in India, and its current price and sale availability need live confirmation. There are no independent tests here to establish real-world battery life, camera quality or performance, so treat those as specifications rather than proven outcomes.
